good location. near the beautiful route at the waterfall. there is parking. easy check-in and the ability to check in at any time. the beds were clean. I liked the availability of tea and coffee machines near the room.

The battery in the bath didn't work. It was a polar day and there were not enough curtains to close the windows normally. You need to add roller blinds to make it comfortable to sleep in the summer. breakfast was the same every day, wish there was some choice.

Good location. Staff was very friendly. Room exactly as expected. Even though it was very busy at breakfast, service was quick. You receive a plate with some oatmeal, bread, a croissant, an apple, ... Personnally we would have preferred buffet-style (now some perfectly fine bread got to waste just because we didn't like it), but you get plenty.

Keep in mind that the reception really is closed up until the start of check-in time, so an early check-in or luggage drop-off is not available. Room was clean but the ventilation system didn't work in the bathroom, so very high humidity and a bit of a smell lingered after showering.

Splendid location. Clean and spacious room. Nice breakfast.

Loved the waterfall behind the hotel. Walking distance to cool sites. Beautiful view out our window. They hand out a pre-plated breakfast which was more than enough food.

Beds were comfy enough and it was clean. The so called tallest tree in Iceland 🇮🇸 is a few mins walk away 🤭

It was outdated and tired - beds and furniture in the rooms were fraying and needed repairing. Curtains were so far off the wall they did nothing to block out the sun. Luckily we looked out onto a field with some horses but the poor Slovak couple next to us had a view of a solid concrete block. There was no milk available for any tea or coffee provided in the rooms. As an Englishman, I will not be told by staff that people put coffee creamer in tea. It’s really bad that staff resided to give us any cows milk which we now know they served for the terrible burnt coffee at breakfast. We had to walk up the road to get some milk from another hotel where they gave us milk for free The worst thing was the breakfast. There was no variety or buffet. It was a pre made plate (which I could stand if it was decent) of cold things consisting of: An apple, some instant porridge, stale rye bread and un-toasted sandwich bread, some terrible cheese, some dry cucumber, a burnt croissant and a juice box. Looking round the room you could see the absolute misery and dissatisfaction on the faces of every guest. If there was a hostel in Kirkjubærklaustur, I would have booked that, because I’ve stayed in hostels 10X better. Totally not value for money: they’re just capitalising on the fact there’s so little accommodation here.

Rooms are very basic. They did not even provide soap or shower gel in two rooms we stayed with private bathroom. Office is locked all time, Staff is NOT available except in check-in hours. Breakfast hours are odd 8:30am to 9:30am in that location you expect to have an early breakfast and go do your touristy stuff after that. All other hotels/guest houses we stayed have break fast started at 7am. First day we missed BF as we have to leave by 7:30 which is fair. Second day (check out day) we went at 9:31am they locked doors and no one talks. We have to ask them to unlock the door and request/argue with them. Finally they are nice enough and gave to-go BF box as we did not have any BF in the hotel. One thing i did not understand is why they have to lock their office doors if they are willing to help guests. I am not staying in this place period.

Adequate for the night. Excellent restaurant (Kjarr) next to it serving till late. Nice waterfall next to it. Handy for canyon.

Breakfast offered no choice and wasn't particularly exciting. Quick and efficient at best.

Everything is amazing! I cannot describe in simple words how amazing the place really is. It was the highlight of our trip and the most amazing accommodation we've had in our entire lives! I truly recommend it!

The location is brilliant. Waterfall is 10 steps away from the property and if river in the front with nice views.

price and food. I seared for family room of 4 and this is the only one came up but later realised that for 10% more money, I would have got two rooms in other hotels near by. Breakfast is the worst I ever had.

Clean and comfortable. The guesthouse is big and it seems like all rooms are on the ground floor so you can park nearer to your room. Breakfast was simple but good contrary to some of the other reviews (the croissants were good!), and they even kindly helped to pack it in a paper bag as I was leaving very early for a booked tour.

Bathroom is quite small, especially the sink area.

The waterfall! This place was my favorite, it was beautiful and quiet and offered breakfast.
