The accommodation was clean and comfortable.
Advertised the accommodation has air conditioning, but on arrival this is an additional charge. Where other facilities carry an extra charge this is clearly shown. Why not air con?

Arrived and told the boiler had broken and there would be a fan heater in the room. Duvet cover not clean with paw marks on it. However when mentioned to staff it was immediately replaced and complimentary glass of wine offered. Radiator leaking in bathroom but again as soon as it was reported a member of staff attended. My main issue was the lack of sound proofing between the rooms. I had a chalet room opposite the pub and the tv in the next room could easily be heard as we as road traffic noise,

Easy to find off the motorway as a stopover en route to Scotland. Lovely location with a nice river walk behind the property. Very good food, welcoming and friendly staff. Lovely terrace to sit out on the warm evening we were there. Our little unit in the separate building was great - had everything we needed.
Bed was comfortable but a little on the small side as a double bed. Had a good nights sleep though!

Lovely welcome, nothing too much trouble. Fabulous location for our needs - Thirsk Races and family birthday. Gorgeous accommodation on the side of the property. Lovely breakfast.

We're called on the day and able to book an evening meal. Food was lovely.
Was unable to get i to room between 3pm & 5pm as the restaurant was closed. As we were coming from London via York we had to sit in the car park for an hour.

Location good, breakfast first class and the evening food was out of this world best pub food I have ever had and good portions
Room furniture was tired, mould on bottom of shower screen, broken shower holder, .Leather couch was flaking all along the top and the wardrobe was none existent so small for 2 people..here for 4 nights and had to live out of bag...Had window open due to being warm but noisy with the traffic

Very handy location for our trip later towards Pickering. Being a pub it was nice to have meals available all day, we arrived late afternoon on a Sunday. Evening meal was nice, so was the breakfast the next day. Everything was good about the room, everything provided for a comfortable stay.
Particular thanks to the very pleasant young man behind the bar who checked us in, served the drinks and took our food order, so too everyone else was so nice and friendly.
Ditch those silly and awful milk pod things. Loads available to use but half of them had gone off. You do supply a refrigerator in the room which is great so why not put a small jug of milk in there instead.

Easy to get too, perfect location for going into Thirsk itself and lots of surrounding county walks, not to far to visit a few places by car as well.
The breakfast was amazing and the food is fantastic very good value for money.

The room was large and comfortable with full range of tea coffee etc.
The hotel dinner menu was extensive, the service was excellent, the food of a good quality, as was the breakfast
