We travelled to Ging Tea House from Delhi. I stayed at the property with my parents (senior citizens) and children (11 & 9) from 12-15 Oct. 2021. Our stay was one of the best we've ever had in our lives! Ging is a treat for the eyes, balm for the soul, peace for the heart, and a sheer joy for all the senses. The property, the breathtaking tea estate, the hills... everything was simply majestic. We were promptly picked up at Bagdogra airport by Kiran from Ging. Since I had told them we would be a family of 5, they sent 2 Innovas which was very smart since that allowed all of us to sit comfortably in one car while our luggage came in the other car. The drive from Bagdogra to Ging (beautiful drive) takes usually 3.5 hours, but that day it took us about 5 hours since we got stuck in the worst traffic jam in Darjeeling city due to the upcoming festivities for Dussehra. We were quite exhausted from our travel but when we arrived at Ging, all our fatigue vanished! We were immediately struck by the sprawling British bungalow and the serene beauty of the place. We had breakfast outside everyday under the beautiful seating area Ging has overlooking their own sprawling tea estate and the mystical hills. The breakfast was delicious. The main menu for breakfast was different on each day with either poha, cutlets, and puris with sabzi being served along with any kind of egg/omelette, jam, butter, toast, cereal. The package included lunch and dinner as well. We had Indian, Chinese, and Nepalese food during our stay. The property provides free Wi-Fi which mostly works well. Mr. Andrew was a perfect host. Smiling, pleasant, and always willing to be of assistance. All the staff at the tea estate, including Raju, Anju, Prashant, Rajat (chef), and Kiran were so well mannered, humble, helpful, and just awesome. Ging is a once in a lifetime experience. The cost was definitely high, but it was worth every penny.

Ging tea house is an amazing property, nestled in the lap of nature. It offers a spectacular view of tea gardens and a lush green valley. We felt extremely close to nature. The staff there, led by Andrew, is warm, dedicated and efficient. They took really good care of us. The overall experience was memorable. I feel that to attract young travelers, Ging tea house should introduce some more activities including SPA.

I feel that the linen can be upgraded to add value.

Starting from morning tea to dinner, everything was superb to the power infinity. All the staff members & manager Mr Andrew treated us their parents.

The best part of the stay was the location and the beautiful staff and their excellent service. Can't recommend this place enough. From the time Mr Kiran picked me up from the airport everything went perfectly. Esp Andrew and Anju ( I hope I am correct with the names) were really great . Made my perfect stay memorable.. definitely will be going back again sometime.
