good location

no manned reception after 4pm so had to contact a central number and it took 5 minutes for them to answer so we could book in - which was a bit if a worry also very noisy from other guest’s party and road noise

The office woman Danika was exceptional, she went above and beyond to accomodate us. Truely an asset to the business.

Close to center of Petone. Nice tea and coffee selection

Minimal communication, no staff on after mid afternoon. No advice about attached carpark so had to leave car on main road and walk around to poorly marked entrance on poorly lit side street, alone, late at night, in the dark. Had to stand in blasting cold wind on the street outside the building trying to hear a person on the dial up system as they dont pay a staff member to greet guests. Got in the door, and had to wander a hallway with no guidance until I found another phone and repeated the process to get to my room. 1 email, text or message would have covered all that! Bedroom was hard to heat as only a heatpump in the lounge, so had to sleep with door open and hot air struggles to blow around corners. Just an oil heater or electric blanket in room would have worked. Room below finished night shift and set the music to full blast about 5am, no acoustic lining between floors, so I wandered around my rooms trying to find a quiet place to drag my bedding to, but no help. Called management, they eventually sorted, but then I had to get up for work anyway

After-hours check-in was super easy. The room and all the facilities were clean, and the bed was comfortable. Was definitely good worth for what I paid for, especially for a last-minute booking. Connecting your device to the TV was simple and convenient. Much better than Freeview, which is usually expected at other accommodation.

Wish I stayed longer.

The manager is so friendly and helpful. I really appreciated his welcome and understanding, especially when I completely missed the spare toilet roll and didn't call him when I needed help!!

I would have appreciated a spare blanket in the bedroom. I got cold and went off to my car in the night to get one!

Clean Comfortable

After hours check in - we never saw a staff member - a little impersonal

Room was clean

The curtains were drawn because when opened to allow the natural light to come through i was met with the back windows of the building in front of the motel. Birds had made the hom,es on the roof space of the building directly outside my room window. Very noisey at night

Location.

The Heat Pump did not work in my room I told Reception they were not very helpful and gave me a small heater. Outside my bedroom window was about 50 pigeons very nosey in the morning. I had to pay for parking also.

Space was too small to have a couch and foldaway bed.

Location was close to everything and we had a lovely view of the Harbour which was a bonus

Carparking was very tight mainly due to very large Ranger car next to us

The range hood doesn't work.
