The staff was friendly and efficient, the place is clean, the view is great. Welcome package was a nice touch!

My room smelled like cigarettes all the time (I'm not smoking).

We loved our stay at Retreat Seaside, made especially good by Dan. He was incredibly welcoming and friendly, and was always on hand for recommendations and help when needed. Our first room was quite small with no windows but when we checked in Dan mentioned he would be moving us to a better room once the current occupants left, which he did and the second room was much better. Bed was very comfy, the property was always clean and all the staff were really friendly. There’s a fridge, kettle, microwave and toaster for guests to use which was great for us on a budget who were trying to avoid eating out for every meal.

The bar is a little expensive compared to others in the area, it could be good to offer discounts for people staying there as it’s used a lot by locals too. Some sun loungers by the pool would also be quite good

Peace and quiet and a warm shower which was really all I needed after a long day at work.

Changing of beddings and towels regularly could be improved.

There was just one senior lady behind the bar who was not friendly at all (All others were very cheerful).

Upon check-in, your room had a welcome pack of water, coffee, tea, cereal, all of which made for a great first impression. The pool was great, had different colour lights and remained open 24/7, so midnight swim was always an option. The bar served a variety of food and alcohol options in the evenings, that were decent value for money. I was there during a pretry quiet time, so was invited into town with the owner which was expected, but very much appreciated! Also, the bar area closed at 23:00, but I was here during the World Cup Final. I asked if the remote could be left out so I could use the TV at 02:00 and it was left out as promised, which was great because that was one hell of a final!

There is no reception desk so when I arrived, at first it felt like I was in the wrong place, but this is a minor issue. There are things to do in Port Vila but they are not very well advertised. Some of things I did were by accident or pure luck. Having loads of leaflets about what's available, or increasing staff knowledge so they could make suggestions would be an added bonus i.e. recommending the waterfalls or the underwater post box, which is such a unique feature. I think in this day and age wifi is very important, so the signal needs to be much stronger in the rooms.

The owners were very helpful and accommodating without requests, nice pool area and decent food. good place for some beers and good value for Port Vila. Thanks from the English boys!

this property is close to the town, centrally located in a quiet area the swimming pool is lovely and the bar is very convenient for meals if you choose the view is also lovey

Weak/no internet in the rooms. The restaurant/bar is a bit pricey, but then again, you can eat at other places.

Amazing and super helpful host, couldnt ask for more in times of trouble. Simple, clean accommodation, nice bar to chill in the evenings. WiFi connection best in the bar area.

Our room was lovely and specious with a beautiful view to watch the sunrise! The staff were very lovely, location is great and they had plenty to do including pool, darts, table tennis, swim. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

The view is beautiful, the location is convenient for walking to both Nambawan and Nambatu. The staff were friendly and willing to go beyond expectations to help. For example, they bent over backwards to make some online meetings work for me. There was no wifi advertised to be available in our rooms but there was a little anyway.
