This hotel was small and friendly—excellent facilities with spacious rooms and a kitchenette, parking, very clean and perfect for what we needed. Right across from the grocery store in town. We were there to go fishing, and this was a good way station between rivers.

The motel is well-placed for the Moeraki Boulders which was the purpose of my visit. The room was warm and well equipped with a kitchenette including a stove and microwave, and located next door to a supermarket which is open until late. The room consisted of a lounge/dining area and a separate bedroom and bathroom. If you don't like cooking there is a hotel with a bistro located opposite.

This is an older motel but has been kept in good condition and so there are no negatives I can think of. The ultimate test is whether or not I would stay here again and the answer is yes, I would.

Great location, owners were awesome.

easy access from vehicle, clean and tidy

Toilet cistern leaking and water kept running - a little annoying when trying to sleep

Great size, handy to pub for dinner and easy to take a walk from down to the beach lor back towards the rural side of town

Unfortunately the bed was not great, they need a refresh.

No bin in kitchen lack of decent chair to sit on having to wash dishes in bathroom
