I did not realise there are two Crowne Plaza hotels in Muscat. I mistakenly booked the business one, rather than the beach one, which my daughter was not pleased about. So we planned to move the following morning. However, once my daughter ate from the extensive breakfast offering, we decided to stay. The breakfast was superb and probably one of the best we have had over the years. We spent time at the pool, which, although quiet and may not have carried the same vibe as the 'beach' Crowne Plaza, was pleasant enough. The staff at the hotel were very approachable and helpful. Marie, the guest relations manager, was particularly lovely, and we were given a late checkout without charge as our flight home wasn't until 8 pm. Had we been planning to stay in Oman beyond the two nights I booked, we would have moved to the other Crowne Plaza, as that would have been more in keeping with my daughter's type of hotel. However, for an impromptu weekend break, Crowne Plaza OCEC was more than acceptable. Although I wouldn't choose this again for a leisure trip, if I were on a business trip to Oman, this would be the hotel I would choose!

This isn't related to the property per se, but we found out to our cost that the taxis which the hotel calls are triple, sometimes quadruple the cost. For some reason, taxis from the O Taxi app, which would have been a cheaper option, are not allowed to pick customers up directly from the hotel.

It was an excellent stay in most respects, cleanliness, welcoming reception, easy entry and exit procedures, the apartment is close to the hotel entrance, the morning breakfast is varied and you have several options and it overlooks the swimming pool. The view is very awesome. You can see the splendor of the place.

Due to time constraints, I did not have enough time to relax in the pool or visit the gym

ممتع ومريح وهادي جدا والإطلالة جميله على وادي بحيره صغيره أعجبني وحاولت النزول للذهاب للبحيره ولكن للأسف كانت خارج الفندق ولابد الخروج للذهاب لها

Clean spacious rooms with nice breakfast options

Noisy music from green patio for rooms that have view , from 5-11 pm approx.

Everything is magnificent. I'm always booking this hotel due to expectional quality and service. I never regret staying in this hotel. If I'll visit Muscat again, I'll book for the same hotel without any second though.

Staff and cleanliness

To nosey at night with noise from the in hotel bars…. Just too loud and our whole group was not happy for that

The place was good ..and peaceful But it was crowded inside

The crowd inside especially the breakfast but the dinner was little bit quiet. My ID has been lost by reception staff and not found even though i did not receive a proper apologies regarding this incident and they informed me that i will receive a call from hotel later to update me but I didn’t.

Very friendly No nonsense with the staff always happy to help

Can't really complain about anything for the price I paid to be honest

Breakfast area was too big and not organised. Hand to walk around the whole area to find food.

Was good location from airport and close to the place we intended to visit. Nice facilities , pool and restaurant area.

Unfortunately our room was pool facing and the evening entertainment outside was quite loud .

The staff were amazing and attentive. Thai restaurant downstairs is lovely. Really authentic food and hotel was very clean and well kept.

The room is quite small for 37m as it says

Good for couple, family and business visit.. It little far from the city but all other facilities well and good... Staffs also very nice and food was amazing.

This hotel is not suitable for families, especially with kids it has bars and nightclub and a live DJ by the pool. It was loud most of the time. The food option at the buffet wasn't good for dinner.
