Arrived during the peak of a cold wave in January. It was about a 15-20 minute walk from Hakata Station - it may have taken slightly longer because of strong icy winds as I was walking. Hotel was nice and clean. Staff were generally friendly and helpful.

There was some hesitance from staff to arrange for delivery of my luggage (paid service via Kuroneko Yamato) to my next hotel (for arrival on the following day) - I'm not sure if it was because not many guests had requested such before, but I had no problems with this request from other hotels I was staying at. Although they finally did help arrange this, one of the staff members seemed slightly flustered or annoyed at having to arrange this request. Part of the reason may have been because it had (unexpectedly) started to snow during the previous night, so apparently taxi/bus services (and possibly package transport services) had been postponed.

The location was good, walking distance from Tenjin, Canal City, the yatai, etc. Also the staff was nice enough to keep part of our luggage at the hotel while we were traveling elsewhere (but I believe this is customary in Japan).

We needed to book a taxi for the next day to head to the airport very early in the morning. Nothing more usual you may think. But the hotel staff first claimed it was impossible because not enough taxis in Fukuoka. It took me a lot of effort and negotiation to have them call several companies. Finally we could have our taxi. But I was really disappointed in the effort it required to have them do something that should be natural. Also, value for price did not seem very competitive vs a Candeo hotel for example.

Great location for exploring the shopping arcades and yatai food stalls along the Naka river. Smart, clean, new rooms and friendly staff.

Staff were pleasant and polite! In the lobby, there was a fantastic selection of freely available toiletries and amenities. Room was cozy and comfortable; view of the Hakata River was lovely! Included breakfast was scrumptious and plentiful, and the kitchen staff were delightful!

It is fair to note that the hotel is a 400-meter walk from Nakasukawabata Station, but it was a level and pleasant walk.

Breakfast was quite diverse for Japan and a 3-star hotel, I was positively surprised. There was even some (small) continental part of the buffet. Would go there again.

Everything was fine so far. The room was quite small though.
