Es war soo cool in Ancient Gardens ! Der Gastgeber war sowas von freundlich und er wollte bei allen Angelegenheiten helfen. So kam es dass er mit mir mit meinem Roller die Umgebung erkundet hat und mir schöne Orte zeigte. Er war super nett und lustig und wurde zu nem richtigen Reise-Kumpel 😁 Danke dafür !! Ich habe beide Abende bei ihm gegessen und es war super lecker und reichhaltig! Würde ich immer wieder so machen. Sehr zu empfehlen!! It was soo cool at Ancient Gardens!! Gayashan was so kind and wanted to help in every way ! He showed me any cool places around and got a really "travel-friend" in that two days. I'm so thankful for that ! And I ate two times at his homestay. The meal was very tasty and rich ! I would do it every time again ! Thank you !!!

Es ist kein "dichtes" Haus. Also können hier und da mal Eidechsen oder ähnliches ins Haus kommen. Aber ich denke da muss man mit rechnen wenn man in der Natur unterwegs ist und diese erleben möchte 😉

Pool was emty both days

Gayeshan and his family are the sweetest people you can imagine and Gayeshan is going out of his way to accommodate you. His generosity, availability and friendliness makes the whole place worthwhile. It’s also a very quite place, drawn back from the heavy trafficked main road and you don’t hear your neighbors through the thick walls. Beds are good and the place is unique in its rustic and creative charm. You can walk on the narrow road down to the Main Street were you’ll find many eating places and the local people on the road are extremely friendly. Breakfast is included and you can choose local or western style food. They also make lovely local food for dinner on order.

I’ve got the only room without a window which was a bit odd, but with the high ceiling and a good fan it was ok to sleep there.

L’emplacement , la verdure, la chambre et sa déco et surtout la gentillesse et bienveillance des hôtes Avec une mention spéciale à Prashan, un des fils, qui s’est occupé de nous avec une extrême discrétion et bienveillance !! Et le bon Rice and Curry de la maman ! Ils sont tous adorables !!

L’accueil était formidable, Gayashan et sa familles sont incroyablement gentils, leur cuisine locale proposée est très bonne. Nous avons loué les 3 chambres proposées,toutes différentes mais toutes aussi chaleureuses et confortables et très propres. L’extérieur est très cocooning avec un petit bassin pour se rafraîchir et une petite terrasse en hauteur offrant une belle petite vue! Gayashan le propriétaire fait également guide et nous a accompagné tout au long de notre voyage. Agréablement gentil, disponible, plein de connaissances et nous a montré de très jolies coins. Très simple de communiquer avec lui en anglais une langue internationale encore mieux maîtrisée que nous.

Gayashan und seine Familie sind unglaublich liebevoll und man wird mit absoluter Hingabe umsorgt. Wir wurden für einen sehr fairen Preis vom Flughafen abgeholt und sogar zu unserem nächsten Ziel nach Sigirya gefahren🙏 Der Garten ist wunderschön und Gayashan kann einiges über die Pflanzen und ihre Verwendung und Küche und als Heilmittel erzählen. Er hat viele Ausflugstips und unterstützte uns bei der Planung und bietet auch an Touren zu begleiten👌 Gayashan vielen Dank für die geile Zeit🙏✌️

The location and accomodation is perfect. Gayashan is really helpful and has lots of knowledge on the local area. Gayashan is always happy to help and goes beyond what you would expect from a host. Manawella is a nice quite, beautiful and a hidden gem of Sri Lanka. Bible rock and Bo Ella waterfall is a must.
