Nice setting by the estuary

Hard to find, needs bigger signage

The host (John, I think) was friendly and helpful, but not obtrusive. The accomodation was comfortable and quiet. Good beach/waterside walks nearby. Great location for exploring Mercury Bay.

Not much. There is nothing in the immediate vicinity, bar other houses - you need a car to get provisions, to restaurants etc, but that was OK.

Location was good, quiet and peaceful. Fish and chip shop was brilliant, 2 mins away by car ( could walk on dry day)

Size, smaller than expected, looked bigger in the pictures. No designated parking. Very little privacy when neighbours walk past your door. Someone in a camper the blocked what view there was to be had. 3/4 coffee sachets were mouldy- poor form by hosts for not refreshing stock regularly or at least checking expiration dates. Could hear what sounded like a pump running at various times during the day and night. Pretty much the entire compendium relies on Google, it's a small community, support other business on a more personal level.

Excellent stay! the hosts thought of everything :) The location is in a quiet neighborhood and felt incredibly safe- the best part was staying right on the water and taking a kayak out to view the bay/ocean side. There was a kitchen with everything you need (except a full oven) and I was really pleased with the comfortable stay. This location is only really accessible with a car, but great value. Thank you to the hosts!

n/a . only would note to travellers there are very few restaurants in the area and there are no shops/foods within walking distance so I would recommend this stay only to those with a car or those who come incredibly prepared with foods.

Great little detached unit. Very comfy bed. Nice facilities and friendly host. Nice peaceful spot.

Very quiet neighbourhood. Starry night. Mist on the river in the morning. Cleverly-designed layout. Independant entry and exclusive garden/patio. Very clean and almost new room. Fully-equipped kitchen. Nice and helpful hosts.

Really beautiful location right by the estuary. Super close to the beach as well. The room was really nice - clean and comfortable and we really enjoyed our time there. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

Some salt and pepper would have been good, but obviously not essential and we really loved our stay!

Perfect weekend. Studio room with a clever fit out - coastal feel. They've thought of the little details including outdoor space. Easy parking. Warm shower and good water pressure. Kitchenette with everything we needed. Thank you!

Very clean room and spotless bathroom. Had everything you needed. Access to estuary at back of property. 10 minutes walk to beach. Provided towels for beach. Little clothes line outside unit. Great outdoors sitting area.

The room was too hot. The fan wasn't enough. No daily service. The interior door to the other unit wasn't sound proof. No wardrobe with little space to store luggage.

Was close to different attractions making it a very eventful stay. The info sheets provided helpful information about where to eat, things to do and different ways to get around. Loved the privacy.

We only stayed two days, would have loved to be there a bit longer. The gas ran out but this was remedied extremely promptly

The lights next to the front were pointed upwards so I couldn’t see what key I was getting, essentially I had the light on my face ... no major...
