Other than the great location and the comfortable place, Ruben offers alot of very good tips whether it's hikes, food, restaurants, and even gift ideas! A great host

We loved staying at this place which is perfectly located in the center of Machico. The host is super friendly and gave us great advice for hikings in the area.

It was 11/10. Perfect location and amazing owner, well equipped and awesome shared area with kitchen. Everything you want and more :) We will stay here again!

- Large, clean room as pictured - Ideal location just 1-2 blocks from the beach - Very clean and well organized hostel-style kitchen, with separate lockers for each room. everything in the kitchen was very clean and well labeled

- More similar to a hostel than a guesthouse (though it is a nice, clean hostel) - Didn’t accept credit cards (only cash or PayPal bank transfer) which was a bit surprising - Check in process a bit cumbersome - needed to contact hostel via WhatsApp with time of arrival for hosts to meet you - Shower very small (though this is clear in the photos)

- really nice ambience - excellent location especially for hiking - accessible by public transport via Machico - good concept - Ruben, the manager, is full of know-how to best explore Madeira on foot

- internet connectivity, especially in rooms further away from the kitchen could be imrpoved

I loved everything about this property. First and foremost, hands up to Ruben (owner) for the hospitality and kindness. We truly are grateful for being warm and welcoming! I appreciate the time he took in giving us tips - where to eat, and convinced us to do the hike to são lourenço which is a must!, getting us taxi was far beyond.. thank you! We felt safe and comfortable all throughout our stay. The room was spacious, clean and tidy. We loved the decors, too! Sheets and towels were spotless and smells clean (i have OCD when it comes to these so, well done :)) communal area was impressive as well - everything is there and you can definitely cook and feel at home, too bad we could not stay longer. I would go back to Machico, and definitely I will book this place again. :)

Ruben welcomed me with open arms. Very good host. I didn’t get to spend as long as I wanted but the short time I did I enjoyed it.

Very comfortable room and lovely kitchen, everything is well cleaned and the common area has your own private spaces well arranged. about 50 meters from the sea and near to restaurants and markets.

- Communal kitchen and patio area are great to get the community feel of a hostel without the cons - The room was spacious and very comfortable, excellent water pressure in the bathroom which is always a plus - Amazing host who gave us lots of recommendations for our stay in Madeira - Great location close to the beach and restaurants. Machico is a good base to explore the island

excellent option of choice in Machico, birthplace of the island. Beach, Trails near the beach. Great accommodations with receptivity and recommendations from the Madeirense owner.

I loved the space overall. This is a guesthouse where many travellers share the kitchen. There's everything you might need when cooking. The room itself is spacious and nice. And the ocean with one of the best beaches is just 5 minutes away.

Facilities ar e a bit outdated and the room was a bit dark. Still it doesn't influence the overall experience much as you definitely don't want to spend much time inside when at Madeira :D

Hard to find.

The decoration and attention to details is what makes this guest house so special. I stayed in the room “music”, it was very spacious and had great views. The kitchen follows a system that allows the guests to share the cleaning, cooking, and storage areas and still keep it organized and clean. The owners are lovely and always ready to help.

absolutely nothing

I really liked it here, we stayed for 2 nights and the host was really friendly the room was great value for money a lovely rustic vibe close to a beautiful beach. Couldnt complain about anything 😊
