Heritage Home in the Heart of Sault Ste Marie

Great stay. Everything we needed.

Second time staying at this location and it’s just as beautiful as I remember - even had a bonfire at night! They definitely think of the little things- great place and great hosts!

We came for the Agawa Train tour and we’re not disappointed. House was perfect and met all of our needs both in location and amenities. We stayed 5 days to take in other sights. And of course the food. Having heard friends rave about the pizza / it was definitely on the list of “musts”. It was very good, but to be a little antagonist if there is a battle between Windsor pizza and Soo pizza / I hate to admit it’s Windsor for me. Not saying it wasn’t awesome….just a personal preference (please don’t tell my friends forom the Soo). In all seriousness, Thai was an great place to stay and would highly recommend for anyone wanting to explore Sault St Marie and the surrounding area.

The host was very gracious and flexible with a date change that occured. He greeted us upon arrival and provided a welcome package containing sweets and treats. It wasn't until the evening that my son noticed "ants" on the countertop. Upon closer inspection we realized they were cockroaches. They were on the counters, in the cupboards on the floor and in the bathroom. This made the stay very uncomfortable and was less than ideal. Sadly, I would not recommend until this issue dealt with.

The home was everthing we expected old world charm. The house is beautifully decorated and every room was like picture telling a story. The back yard was just as nice with sitting areas so peaceful. The host made us feel very welcome I will definitely be booking this B&B again.

Our third stay this year alone. We were once again able to enjoy all of the indoor and outdoor amenities. Everything we needed to enhance our stay was available. Jim and Sandy’s place is always our first choice when we visit the Soo. Sadly, it is not always available when we want to come.

Property was as described. Lots of extras provided. Dont plan on sneaking about in the morning; squeaky floors and doors are part of an older house.

Jim and sandy go above and beyond to make the home comfortable and clean and cozy. They thought of everything we might need or may have forgotten to bring with us. Great location! The neighborhood is lovely and we cannot wait to come back and stay again with them! They truly were the best hosts!

Wonderful stay and family time!
Wonderful place to stay! Has everything you need and more! Visiting the Sault to attend a wedding and were able to bring our family together for a wonderful visit for a few days. From a backyard fire with smores, cooking together in the well equipped kitchen, or just hanging out, the home provided us with all we needed and more. Jim is a wonderful host! Highly recommend!

Great place to stay in the Soo!!
It was everything we were expecting and more! The place was very clean and had everything you would need for whatever length of stay. Great spaces everywhere so you could easily find some quiet space as needed, whether that was on the porch, den, deck, or backyard. The hosts were great with communications and checked in with us on arrival and gave a quick tour pointing out where things were. Our family loved having a place to call home while exploring the area and enjoyed being able to use the fire pit and grill to enjoy the backyard.
The little touches added so much, from photos left by guests to beautiful art on the walls, and extra blankets nearby. The host even provided a nice "welcome home" package when we arrived. Very quiet neighborhood, as well.
We hope to get back there for the train and plan/hope to be able to stay here again as it was an awesome place!!

Perfect stop for family with young kids
Jim's place was the perfect stop for our family as we make our way across Canada. Breakfast muffins, coffee options, WiFi, laundry, toys for the kids, comfy beds, nice showers, fenced backyard. Just an all around great place for an 8 year old, 5 year old, 1 year old, and their parents! Thanks again, Jim!

Third Time
This was our third stay with Jim & Sandy. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else while visiting the Soo if given the choice. As this past visit was in the summer, we were able to use the excellent BBQ and enjoy the spacious deck as well as the plethora of indoor amenities. Looking forward to our next visit this fall.

Our family had a wonderful time reconnecting here after too long apart.
