Since I was only staying for one night and the main reason was to show my guests the Soo Locks,, this hotel was close and convenient. The rooms were clean and suit our needs.

Adoba is a friendly and safe place to stay that is conveniently located across from the Soo Locks. The bathroom is a bit crunched, but the room and beds were comfy. This is not a fancy place, but it met our needs.

Great little cottage type rooms. Car is 2 steps from the door. Fantastic location. Easy to get to shops and restaurants. Soo Locks right across the street. Small patio are just outside the door for all the rooms

We requested a pet free room due to allergies, asked them to not accept booking if it was not possible. Upon entering our room we smelled cleaning products. We went out and came back for the night and room smelled like mildew and cleaning products. Also, Pretty sure this was a dog room too. Left at 4:30 am due to allergies and all of the above. Very old, super basic, no tissue, zero amenities. Supposed to have been recently remodeled, they should sue whoever remodeled because they skipped this room. Didn’t bother to bring any of this to attention of staff, initial meeting indicated total indifference and making money was their priority. All this for the bargain of $190. Don’t waste your money!!!

This Motel is absolutely ideal to see the Locks . It is literally acoss the street. We had a comfortable stay . Service was helpful. Recommend

Adoba was very nice. There is a typical stacked motel but they also have cabins which we had and liked. It is directly across the street from the Soo Locks where they have an observation deck if you don't have time for the tours. The museum is right there too which is informative. Supper spots and gift shops short walk down the street.

We stayed in a cottage style room. Very clean and quiet breakfast included. Directly across street from Soo Locks observation center. That was amazing. Many restaurants and shops on same stree as hotel, easy walking. AND my friend left her iPad in room, manager called us and is shipping it to her. how nice is that.

It is in the perfect spot right across the street from the Soo Lock observation deck. Nestled In the middle of the cute shops. The staff was very friendly. It is an older motel with a nostalgic feel and very clean. It also has a nice breakfast with sausage gravy. I will definitely stay here again.

The room was clean, bed comfortable but beware, our queen size room was so small, no room for luggage or a place to hang clothes. Did have refrig, microwave, tv, and a one cup coffee maker. And overpriced. Good location for the locks.

Convenience to Soo Locks can't be beat! Also close to all the downtown shops, restaurants, and other attractions. Not a fancy hotel but very well kept with friendly staff. We'd be happy to stay again!

I have stayed at Adoba Lockview twice and would definitely stay again. The proximity to the locks is perfect.(basically right across the street). It is within walking distance of the shops. Bed is very comfy. They have a free breakfast in the lobby every morning. Staff is friendly and helpful. if I had to say anything negative, it would be how close the toilet is to the wall and that you can hear noise from the restaurant next door early in the morning. If you need a handicap accessible room, this is not the place for you. (I’m not aware of any handicap accessible rooms and the room I was in I would not consider accessible). Overall, very nice room and great price.

I booked it online, it is right on the U.S. & CANADA BORDER, ON THE U.S. SIDE,the hotel is located right dab in the middle of town, surrounded by Restaurants, coffee houses, gift shops ect and SUE LOCK BOAT TOURS, also museums, all of this is walking distance. located across the hotel is the sue locks , you can hear all the boat horns and see all the ships !!!! it's amazing , I will be back. BUT THE ROOM WASNT GREAT, REALLY OUTDATED, LIGHTING WAS POOR, BATHROOM SUPER SMALL, BUT GREAT HOT WATER AND WATER PRESSURE. THE ROOM ITSELF WASNT DIRTY , JUST REALLY OLD. IF YOU CAN LOOK PAST THAT IT IS OUTDATED, YOU WILL LOVE IT. I WILL RETURN AGAIN

The front desk lady was super nice. However the rest of the motel was awful. Bugs everywhere, smelled like dog pee, the bed sheets seemed like they werent wash - found a lot of debris and hair. While we went to get food, it seemed like the crew came inside to turn off our ac and left the door unlocked. Bed wasnt comfortable. The location was good, but that was about it

I have stayed here last year and it is great for walking to shops. This time the heat did not work and I was given a room with a connecting door to another room not quiet. Could hear next room voices very clear. My room was very comfort and clean and had everything I needed. Also staff was great! Also the breakfast was sausage gravy and biscuits every day. It would be nice to have scrambled eggs. Overall this hotel is great and I will stay again

This hotel is located in a great location for those of us who enjoy watching the freighters go through the Soo Locks . . . The viewing venue is literally across the street so very convenient. Also, convenient for wandering around the downtown Sault Ste Marie area.
Although an older hotel/motel, it appears the owners want guests to be comfortable as our room, although small, was clean, the bathroom updated, offered a good mattress for sleeping, friendly front desk staff, and a small breakfast provided to guests on a daily basis. They are also responsive to guest suggestions as they changed the overhead light in our room to one with higher wattage when we expressed concern that the lighting was too dim . . . We really appreciated that! I would suggest that they offer more pillows in the room, but it’s not a dealbreaker by any means. We would definitely stay here again as our stay was pleasant and met our expectations.

The hotel is an older unit but neat and clean. The bathtub tap came off at the start of my wife’s shower and flooded the room. after several minutes I able to locate the shut off valve. We were relocated to another room and the manager was going to reimburse us for the inconvenience however that has not occurred yet.

The property had been fixed up but was still run down. The fixes were bare minimum. The AC was not very good and the room just kind of creeped me out. Especially as much money was being charged

We had a wonderful stay at this property directly across from the Soo Locks. The room, 1/2 of a duplex cottage, was very clean, fairly recently updated, and the beds were extremely comfortable. My husband said the mattress was better than ours at home! Breakfast looked good, but we prefer a bigger breakfast to fuel our days rock hounding on the Lake Superior beaches, and there are two wonderful breakfast restaurants within walking distance. There was even a Wednesday night concert in the Locks park right there that we really enjoyed. The hotel staff were very kind and helpful as well.
The only suggestion I would have is to take just a little more care in weeding the area directly in front of the cottages. My fingers were itching to help out. First impressions are so important. If the outside looks cared for, then people have more confidence in the condition of the inside. Just a thought. I'd also put some flower boxes on the railings of the balcony on the main hotel. Would add so much curb appeal.
We'd definitely stay here again. Thumbs up!

My sister and I stayed here for a night and absolutely adopted the cottage. Nothing fancy but neither are we! It was clean and super close to everything. The staff was very friendly and they provided a nice breakfast.

Clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Great location for the locks, shopping and restaurants. Breakfast was included. Bring your own hair conditioner. No hairdryer in my room. Loading supplies next door was loud but I’m an early riser. And probably just a fluke.
