Overall great experience. Two night stay at Hampton. Nice pool area and comfortable beds.

good location to tour the Soo

This hotel was a bit pricier than I usually pay, but after arriving I see why. It was really top notch without being over the top fancy. The breakfast had EVERYTHING! The food was real food, necessities in public bathrooms, nice pool and comfy beds.

There was virtually no sound deadening in the hallways or between our room and the next. We could feel the individual plywood sheets under the carpet in our room, and the all squeaked and popped. The toilet wouldn’t fill without removing the tank lid and jiggling the works. I expect a LOT more from Hampton Inns.

Any floor except the third had incredibly noisy ceilings.

Front Desk staff so friendly and very professional, , there was not 1 piece of garbage laying around outside the property or in hallways. After Staying at the Hampton Inn in Saulte St. Marie, I will be booking reservations at the Hilton Hampton Inn properties only. Thank you to everyone of your staff, for showing pride in the work they do.

Very nice hotel

It was clean and conveniently located. It had a nice pool area and patio with a grill. They served a good breakfast.

Walked in dog barked in room next to us. Asked front desk to move us but said they would talk to other guest. No issues. Room was kind of dumpy. Bathroom sink didn’t drain , floors were dirty sk we kept shoes on whole time. Floors were soft and weak just keen the hallways. It’s like they were made from super thin Lewyn and not real plywood. Hallways creaked and made noise. Carpets were run down. Kitchen and lobby were nice and breakfast was great but this was the dumpiest Hampton inn we stayed in and for over $200 a night - it was not worth anywhere near the cost for the upper peninsula of Michigan.

Great new hotel. Problem in the pool area. We were trying to get out of the pool at closing time when the lights went out. No way to friends them back on. No clock in the room to indicate time. Very very unsafe as we were literally on the steps and could not see.

Staff was extremely friendly, pleasant and helpful. Daily breakfast was wonderful! Good variety, and slightly different each day. Rooms were comfortable and clean, with all the necessities such as fridge, microwave, hair dryer, coffeemaker….

Really enjoyed it. Had a view ofnthe woods. Breakfast was good. Staff was great. Room waa great. Very clean.

Bed was very hard, uncomfortable. Rooms facing the gas station next door/road are very very loud with vehicles/transports? Stopping and starting. The wall mounted unit for heat/air was fine when we first arrived then was extremely noisy as time went on. Breakfast was excellent, breakfast area staff were very kind and welcoming.

The only thing that was disappointing was the lack of a hot tub. There was a cold whirlpool area that was supposed to be the hot tub.

We stayed in the jetted tub room #104. It was very clean, quiet, and the bed/pillows were comfortable. The breakfast was nice and the friendly staff kept everything refilled and clean. We travel to the Soo often and would definitely stay here again.

We booked this stay last minute for a quick over night shopping trip. We’ve never stayed in SSM MI but I’ve had judgment for the hotels in the area. This appeared to be one of the better and recently renovated ones. Upon check in Susi greeted us and gave us a couple of laughs. My mom can be very picky to cleanliness in hotels (we’ve had our fair share of hotel rooms not being cleaned properly); we got to our room and was surprised by the room! Room was spacious, bathroom was clean and big. We both were blown away at the shiny-ness of the bathroom and the beds!In between our shopping sprees, we came back to the hotel to inquire if we could stay another night. Susie said “no problem, let me know and you can have the same room!” Susie was always available if we needed her. Our sleep was incredible! The beds are firm and no noise AT all during the night in the hotel or from the road. The shower was wonderful. Truth be told, we were so shocked by the hotel upkeep we didn’t want to leave! Breakfast was amazing and we loved the assortment set out. We decided not to stay the other night but on checking out, we’d told Susi we’d be back the next time we are in the area. If any manager or higher up reads this, give Susi a promotion/raise/paid vacation. With her helpfulness and humour, it just confirmed I chose the right hotel last minute. I’d book again just for her to greet me.

The staff were very friendly, and it was a nice safe place for people of all ages. The breakfast had a variety of food and those working provided excellent service. The pool was a good size and very welcoming.

Friendly staff, clean, comfortable, designated a specific area for kids to play mini sticks.

Rooms were not clean. I come here every year for a conference and this year room wasnt clean and couldnt sleep as it was uncomfortable
