Our room was supposed to include a private balcony or terrace, but we were told this was a mistake on booking.com’s website and so not given to us. The website also says there is a shared kitchen, but not true. There was no tea/coffee maker or electrical kettle provided either in the room or in common area, and their breakfast only starts at 7 am, so if you need your morning cuppa, this is not the place for you. Also breakfast timing (7-9) inconvenient if you want to head out early for hiking after breakfast. Limited breakfast options. Room not cleaned daily as indicated in booking.

The room met expectations. The lobby area was a very nice space to wait in and would have been great to spend time with companions had we had more time. Upon arriving, staff booked a coffee and cacao tour for us. Great recommendation and nice to be able to do it last minute. The Hotel is close to the center of Santa Elena and easily within walking distance (with a narrow side walk). The street is steep so may pose an issue for those with mobility issues.

The hotel is built into a hill and has many stares. Not a problem for able bodied people. If memory serves, there is a ramp to the lobby (one flight of stares). I cannot recall if there is accessibility to upper floors where the rooms are--there may be an elevator.

The staff is very kind, it is located close to the center. It was nice to have breakfast (included) and the service was quick.

Our room was between the stairs service, the patio and the room next to ours was very close which make the night and days a bit too loud. The room was a bit dark and the bed hard.

Value is great. Location is excellent as well. Good walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Most tour companies offer pickup at the hotel as well. The host was knowledgeable and offered good recommendations. Loved running in to the pets in the lobby. Good breakfast as well, with several options to pick from.

Parking was challenging. Not too much space if the hotel is full. Rooms are dated but clean. One of the faucets didn’t work.

Great value for money, it included breakfast and the room was clean and even had a desk. The shared bathroom facilities were good.

The parking is a bit tight

Good location only a short walk up a bank to the main town. The staff were very helpful, recommending and helping us book restaurants and Santa Elena Reserve. The shower was powerful and the beds were comfy.

Breakfast was eggs and toast or pancakes only which was fine but would have preferred a traditional breakfast. The main issue was that the pillows were far too thick! I struggled to sleep propped up and ended up not using one at all

Location is perfect - a few minute walk to restaurants, but very quiet. One can catch a bus to National Park just outside the door. Room was comfy, stuff helpful. Offered breakfast was big enough and tasty.

There is only one bathroom for couple of rooms - hotel was not full, so it wasn't a problem for us.

Our family of 2 adults and 3 teenagers spent 3 nights in Santa Elena and stayed at Cabinas Eddys which was perfectly placed in the very center. Lots of good restaurants very close! Breakfast with 4-5 different choices (variations of eggs and pancake). Very clean, well kept rooms. Beautiful view from the rooms. Staff that were helpful in booking activities and transportation onwards for us. Would absolutely stay there again!

Everything was good, though the beds and pillows were a bit hard.

We had an unforgettable stay at Cabinas Eddy - everything was perfect from the delicious breakfast (pancakes and gallo pinto mmmm!) to the beautiful room and view. The staff was also super, we have felt welcomed from the very first second included from the dog and cat of the house. We will recommend the place to our relatives coming to Santa Elena! Compared to other economy places, this was just superb. It had hot shower, towels , perfect wifi and blanket in bed! Excellent value for money. Breakfast was perfect (especially pancakes were to die for)! The host was very helpful, providing us with all the necessary tourist information and promised to help in every way he could. I highly recommend this place and I would definitely stay there again.

Amazing staff and pancakes!

Very clean, comfortable and friendly location. Easy walking distance to the town (and shops/restaurants) and nearby wildlife reserves (all accessible via car or the lodge can arrange tours). An excellent breakfast was included with the (very reasonable) price.

A good addition would be the option to take pre-packed breakfasts for those (like us) who like to get out birdwatching early in the morning. Otherwise, like us, you can visit somewhere close by and return for breakfast then off to your main birding site for the day. That said, the nearby main birding sites don't open till late (e.g. not until 08:00 am at Santa Elena Reserve).

Personnel is friendly. Breakfast was OK and the rooms are cosy. Also, it is located near the restaurants and supermarket (5 minute walk). The dog and cat also were very cute and friendly.

There was loud music playing from a building in the surrounding area which resulted into loud bass from 10:00 AM until 03:00 AM the next morning two days in a row (but this was not the hotels fault of course). Also, the walls that divide the rooms are really thin and you can hear the conversations from your neighbors quite well.

We had a great room with two windows, small but really cosy when the rain came down. Staff were very friendly & helpful, breakfast was great :) Location was perfect for walking into Santa Elena for food or driving down into Monteverde.

the staff was friendly and it was walking distance to the city center. they also had a good breakfast and a cute dog that resided on location.

they have a small parking lot which is not ideal. but we made it work.
