Staff was really nice, easy parking, good location close to everything you might need. The restaurant has nice food.

Due to the weather it was quite hot in the room, an (optional) airconditioning would have made it even more comfortable.

I had a great stay at Chez Agnez! The rooms are big, clean and comfortable. They serve a nice breakfast. The staff is very helpful. I will stay again when in Dakar.

Super nice and helpful staff and owner, good food, strong internet, motorbike parking in the yard, good shower, comfortable mattress, breakfast okay. We had a big balcony to sit on and watch life on the street. We stayed a week (extended our stay!) and felt at home. Lively area though, if you don’t like that, consider booking somewhere else, it’s no fancy posh polished shiny tourist area, it’s the real Dakar. We loved it!

Could be a little bit cleaner. Not sure if pillow cases and towels were fresh, they didn’t look clean so I washed them before going to bed. Bathroom could have been cleaned bette around sink and toilet.

Satisfied with the location Staff were pleasant and tried their best to communicate in English Bedroom was the right size Tv had multiple channels which was a bonus

Did not like the fact that the toilet and shower area was outside the room That breakfast consisted of just bread and coffee - the butter was so hard it could not be spread on the bread The standing fan did not give much power, so room remained constantly hot Appeared like cigarette holes in the sheet Furniture old and dated

Tons of mosquitoes without a net provided (horrible experience), bed was very small and it was not far away from falling in parts, very loud, CHARGED us 1000 XOF more... Would never book here again... Not even for one night! Bathroom and toilet was not very clean as well...

We liked the friendliness of the staff and host. The Breakfast and the restaurant food was also good 😀 Thank you for the hospitality

I booked a three-day stay but only stayed one night because my work plans changed. Chez Agnes is in a suburban area far from the main centres of Dakar (which is cleary communicated; no issue there). Their staff are very eager to assist and are helpful. The wifi is very strong, the room was clean and they arranged a very reasonable airport pickup and taxi to town for me. There was a powerful standing fan in the room. Cannot comment on the area as I had to leave for a meeting and then was sent elsewhere for work and didn't stay another night. The host was kind enough to scan and send me my invoice for the accommodation and the taxi. PS I always rate the location full stars if a place is where it says it is. I feel it's unfair to do otherwise.

The breakfast nearly made me late - they sent out for it seemingly too late (I was asked the night before what time I wanted to eat, but it wasn't ready), and showed up an hour after the agreed time, just as one of the hosts conceded that I should probably leave without it. The breakfast itself was fine - modest, but tasty; I'd have been happy with it if it came earlier. (For info, breakfast was slices of cheese and salami with bread, butter, jam and tea). The room is clean and spacious, if somewhat outdated, which is fine for the price. I would recommend updating linen - mine had holes in the sheets and the pillows were very clumpy, which made it hard to sleep. The bed was very noisy. And lastly, this is the nature of the neighbourhood so not the accommodation's fault, but worth knowing it's extremely noisy at night until well after midnight (this was a Monday night). My room was right on the street, so it may not be as bad for everyone.
