The studio was very clean, comfortable and well equipped to do your own cooking. The owners were very helpful to give us plenty of good advice.

Great location, close to the city very friendly staff. Immaculate room

Lovely motel ideally located 5 minutes from the central city. Five minutes walk from either the boutique village of Merivale with its selection of cafes and bars, or the Victoria street restaurant area. Also very close to Hagley park for a morning stroll. The motel itself has recently been totally refurbished and has been tastefully outfitted. An added bonus is the addition of a washer and dryer in each unit, very handy when travelling! This is a family run motel and the staff are friendly and welcoming. I recommend highly.

The host Erin was amazing... So helpful and friendly. Nothing was a problem. My daughter describes her as kind, welcoming and accommodating. The location was awesome for St Margaret's, CBD and Hagley park. There was parking, good wifi and delicious apples.

The property is within walking distance of city centre attractions. There are an abundance of cafes in close proximity to the property, as well as a variety of restaurants. It was also handy to have a large grocery story nearby. Having a large fridge and a clothes washer and dryer in the unit was a real bonus. The motel staff were very efficient, friendly and accommodating. I would stay at this property again.

During peak traffic periods in the morning and late afternoon the unit I stayed in could be quite noisy from the traffic. I closed the windows during this time, which helped reduce the noise.

The spacious 2 bedroom apartment was great - it meant my two small children had plenty of space to sleep in their own room and to play when we were spending a little time resting at the property, and the master bedroom had a huge bed which was really comfy. Plenty of towels etc and there was a washing machine and dryer within the room which we didn't have to pay extra for - massive bonus! Bathroom was spacious, shower nice and large and hairdryer / shampoo etc provided. Daily service as well, so if we needed clean towels / wanted the beds made up then that got sorted.

Although the kitchen was generally well stocked with cutlery / plates / cooking equipment, the one thing we did notice it could do with was bowls - my kids ate cereal out of the mugs which they thought was brilliant fun, but didn't fit enough in for an adult portion! The shower was also a bit temperamental with the temperature, but we managed ok! I forgot to mention it to the staff on site who I'm sure would have resolved both points as quickly as possible - they were lovely and very warm/engaging.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Very convenient location. The rooms were clean, well organised and functional. Highly recommend.

Clean, tidy and excellent location walking distance to the CBD and Merivale

No breakfast was provided. Location was very good. Bus stop into town was right across the road and return bus stop just a few metres up the road. However, walking into town was very doable. The owner and her daughter were very helpful on a few things. It had everything we wanted, was very clean and a comfortable bed with lovely pillows.

The ironing board needed a better cover but that is very much nit-picking.

fantastically comfy beds

We needed somewhere comfortable and clean to do laundry in before we left from our 2.5 weeks trip. This was one of my favorite places we stayed because of the cleanliness, ample space in the unit, modern vibe with fun color, a separate room for the bed, and charm of the surrounding areas. It was the perfect place to end our trip and only 10-15 min to the airport. The mother/daughter owners were so kind and you can tell they take pride in what they do. They helped us when we needed a late check-in and always answered the phone. They have pears and apples planted outside along the fence for customers which was a beautiful and thoughtful touch. I would love to stay here again if I’m back in Christchurch.

The one and only thing I could think of is the conditioner was empty in the shower. This isn’t a complaint as I had my own and I’m certain if I would have called they would have had it immediately.
