We travelled with kids 2,4 years and a 4 months old .
The staffs are very friendly and accomodative.
They very kids -friendly too.
Arranged a small baby tub and chair when requested to shower baby in room.
The room size is big and enough for kids and adults .The water pressure and shower temperature is good.
The coffee machine and coffee in room was amazing ! The toiletries were good as well.
The parking is at basement to go from the mall beside.
There is no partition or separation between bathroom and room and no lock for shower but has door. So it's difficult to change attires.
The bed is only queen size not the one like mentioned. Two queen beds and cannot join.
The pillows are too big and hard make it difficult to sleep for adults and kids.
The bidet is automatic bidet not as shown in picture.
The pool in hotel is rundown and no separate kids pool. Pool depth 1.25m throughout.
The breakfast was okay and standard , almost the same choices for 4 days.Not many options for kids.

It was a good hotel at a good location.
There is no bidet in the hotel and prior to the booking, we received a scam email in Booking.com inbox and almost fell into the scam.

We loved everything! Great central location for all the attractions in Singapore, the bus and MRT are only a few minutes away (walking). The staff are amazing and very attentive and even though the hotel is undergoing renovation, we didn't notice the noise at all. The food in the hotel is also amazing, so if you want to have a lazy day in, you have everything you need right there. We had a great time, and we will definitely be back.

The location of the hotel - close proximity to the MRT station and a neighbourhood mall.
The actual condition of the room and facilities is not a true reflection of the hotel's profile pictures featured on the booking sites. The toilet, bed sheets and carpets were old and had stains, while in the pictures, Amara is projected as a new hotel and this is very misleading to customers. Also, the hotel's description states that it personifies Balinese design. However in reality, nothing of the hotel resembles the Balinese concept.

Comfortable room and easy access
Breakfast wasn't great. I did specify that I am vegan, but the little food provided wasn't at par.
Also staff at the main restaurant for breakfast aren't client friendly. Lack of hospitality. Eg they made me to the rounds by just asking for a mug of warm oat milk.

Good location with multiple restaurants attached to the property
The hotel looks wonderful on entry.
However, once on our floor, the property was damp and dirty. The room was dusty, the bathrooms were mouldy. The carpets were in a terrible state. Walls were cracking with areas of lose plaster on the floor.
The kitchen, while a full size, offered cutlery, plates etc. However there was no dishwashing liquid/cloth to clean up.
We only stayed for 24 hours whilst in transit, if we were staying longer we would have looked for alternative accommodation.

The staff was excellent and there to provide any assistant.
No breakfast included for the room rate I've paid. The front desk assigned a smoking room without inform upfront. Was bit frustrated.

One of the concierge staff, Keith challenged me when he could not find the items stored with the hotel.
I did not pay such a price for a hotel and definitely would not expect such display of hooliganism by the hotel staff

High floor view, friendly atmosphere
During check in, it would be wonderful if the receptionist have automatically mention the outcome of my requests. I have to mention my high floor request else it may have to be changed if i was given a low floor. Then i have to ask for my late checkout request. Lastly, my 3rd request for extra 2 bath towels was not fulfilled when i entered the room. I have to call housekeeping to get them.

Restaurant staff / manager was very prompt in helping with seating, clearance etc.
We had to repeatedly ask for our room to be cleaned - I was told by the floor attendant that this was not her room and that she had told her colleague to clean it. We put on the Clean my Room sign at 10 am and the room was finally cleaned at 6 pm after requests.
Sheets were not replaced even after 2 night of use.
The rooms looked "Tired" - lighting is inadequate - only two lights near the bed and a table lamp for the entire room (other than vestibule).
Shower cubicle is an after thought an is triangular allowing for no movement at all - you have to get out in reverse!

The location is great, aircon cold enough, rooms clean enough, towels decent enough.
The thing that really really annoyed me was the inability to get a decent cup of coffee at breakfast. I paid a lot of money to include breakfast into my one week stay, simply for convenience on a busy business trip. 5 mornings out of 7 there were no clean cups, I had to search and ask for one. Two mornings the beans had run out on one machine, and the other machine only served black coffee. The option to have a morning coffee is the basics, and staff should be on the ball enough to get this right and keep an eye on the status of cups!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
