Cleanliness, location, style.

The hotel is situated in the centre of the city and is an easy walk to the main sights and shopping. The lobby area is welcoming and room itself was OK, especially if you like a firm bed. I asked for a room which faced inside rather than onto the street as there are two cafes very close by and they can get noisy late into the evening. Staff were always friendly and helpful. My room was wonderfully quiet at night which I very much appreciated.

The bathroom is quite small which is perhaps not so bad but the shower cubicle is especially cramped and the water takes an age to get hot but it does do so eventually. I was surprised not to see a tea/coffee set-up which was a bit disappointing as I have certainly enjoyed that nicety at other Italian hotels. The breakfast is no more than adequate, given the cost, and it would definitely have been good to see some baguettes or other kinds of bread available, and not just packet sliced bread. On the other hand, the cakes and pastries were delicious and fresh.

This was our third visit (this year), the property is reliable, and perfectly located. There was a problem with the air conditioning in our room, we were very soon offered an alternative room. This second room was nicer than the room originally allocated, not sure if it was a superior room with a higher tariff.

The hotel says it has parking. This is a 4-6 minute walk from the hotel. So you have to drop your bags and be taken on a long route to the parking. It's fine. But it is not on site.

taxis were on strike and public transport a bit challenging to navigate with luggage

I've stayed at this hotel at least 15 times over the past 30 years and enjoy staying there every time. The location is wonderful being a short walk to several piazzas and the hotel is charming and the staff is alway welcoming and helpful.

Position is very good, close to the historical center of Padova, even if difficult to reach by car. Large room, nice common rooms, very kind and helpful staff. Especially the person who had to come with us to the hotel parking which is some distance away, and helped us with the luggage. The hotel is very well known in Padova, as the most prestigious one.

In spite of the insonorization, there was some noise in the night from the bar just outside. A few things not fitting with a 4 stars hotel: cleaning of the room was not very accurate, for a stay of two days we had only one pad of soap, and it was not changed even if exhausted after the first day, at breakfast on the second day, instead of a cake, there were slices of "colomba", the typical industrial Easter cake.

Having stayed here before this was an obvious choice for my return trip to Padua. Central location and style of the hotel is perfect.
