Clean and neat Japanese style room Large bathtub

The breakfast was great & we enjoyed ourselves.

None. Enjoyed ourselves. Staff is very accommodating even they have difficulty speaking English.

Located really close to the JR station, and comfortably walkable to matsumoto castle.

Dated design. There is mould under the bathtub, which i guess is quite normal, but bothered me as the bathtub was a bit misaligned and i could see it.

Great location, next to Matsumoto station. Great view of the mountains from my fifth floor room. Restaurants within walking distance. One of the larger hotel rooms I’ve had in Japan. Hot shower.

The bed and pillow was not as comfortable as I’m used to having.

Couldn't get the non smoking room.so ended up with smoking room..obviously, it reeks of cigarette smell.

The rom was nice and the bath was large enough to relax in even for a taller guest. Standard Japanese style breakfast buffet was tasty. The staff was very nice and proactive!

Too old, and breakfast was cold. No one speaks English. uncomfortable bed.

I like the location, literally across from the station and close to Nippon rent a car. Also, the staff were nice, they tried to speak English and the receptionist had a translating device. I like the bathroom size seems recently renobated, but the furnitire in the room is dated and pillows were tough/hard. Breakfast tasted great!

Because of the public bath, the noise starts in the building super early in the morning.

It’s the perfect hotel for travelers. It’s a walking distance to the train station and to the city. Very cheap hotel but great stay

- The Wi-Fi didn’t work in our room for the first night of our stay (presumably because of too many people accessing it at once) which was disappointing because I wanted to use my laptop. - My husband was asked for his Residence Card, so the staff could make a copy, upon checking in. This isn’t required by law, so we refused, but the member of staff got annoyed. - There was no easy way to tell staff we didn’t want our sheets changed. I put a “Do Not Disturb” sign on the door, but reception still called the room to ask if we wanted the sheets changed… even though the sign said we didn’t want to be disturbed…. - The mattress was quite hard. it was uncomfortable for side sleepers. I can’t comment on the pillows, because we brought our own.

Be sure to use the free bicycles. Be good staff!
