The lights supplied for loadshedding was great but woke up 4 o’clock the morning to run a race just to find out that there is no water not even the toilets…

Something bit us while we were sleeping and when we reported it owner said they did check a month back and nothing was found. Kitchen basin in place where it makes difficult to wash dishes. Some of the kitchen things was still dirty and had to be washed before using it. The shower is not for tall people and the water pressure is poor

We loved the cabin style accommodation, peaceful location and comfortable room. Plenty of windows to open, and well-dressed with blinds and curtains so we could make the room nice and dark at night. Only complaint was the water temperature from the shower very difficult to control. Great balcony with a view out onto the marsh lands and lagoon behind. We were only here for one night and the weather was wet so we didn't do any activities other than drive out for dinner and drive to the headland to see the view in the morning (stunning). Both only a short drive away. The pool was a nice bonus for a quick dip in too. We would definitely recommend this place to others, better value than most air bnbs in the area.

Water temperature out of shower. Couldn't get the right balance, was either way too hot or cold.

The view was nice. The lady that did the cleaning was very friendly and also made sure that we are comfortable we also love the location.

We were very disappointed when we came there, because the person that met us at Reception was so unfriendly he did not even explain to us everything he just told us what our balance was took us to our cottage and left us there the only person that made us feel welcome was the cleaning lady she helped us to figure out how everything worked. It would be nice if he was a little bit friendlier, because we had great service @ the other 3 places where we were. before we booked in at Abalone. We also would have liked to be in a room with a jacuzzi as well, but unfortunately not.

The location was OK, out of the centre but a pub nearby was excellent

The lodge was very tired, we stayed there about 15 years ago and nothing had changed, some of the other lodge's had been refurbished. South Africa is currently short of power and there are a few 2/4 hour power cuts, which made things more difficult.

The view was spectacular from our room. The bed is very big whilst still being very comfortable.

We didnt get breakfast ..but the place it self was fabulous nd the view amazing ..my family loved it

Only thing I missed was aircon on the hot days, I know the previous smaller unit I stayed in had aircon and we really missed it this time
