Travelling for business so price was the key consideration picking the Sunnyside Hotel. Much better than I expected for the price to be honest, quiet, clean and comfortable.

I was concerned about the lack of car park but for the 6 nights I stayed I was able to park on the road outside the hotel (free and unrestricted) with no problems.

Comfortable bed. Very important to me being disabled. Debbie and Shaun very friendly on our arrival.

Would have liked to see a little bit more of the hosts. Would prefer a ground floor room.

The Sunnyside is a convenient distance from the beach and is great value for money considering its clean and practical facilities.

Easy to find.Nice warm welcome . Close to amusements and entertainment. Small local shop nearby.Tea, coffee and milk topped up regularly. Umbrella available for use at the entrance. Information leaflets for things to do, see available at entrance.

Lack of space in the room and bathroom. Bed quite low, pillows too firm for me and furniture has seen better days. No biscuits to go with the plentiful supplies of tea, coffee, milk etc. However we were aware of the room size on booking we just did not factor in that the overall square footage was the size of the room and bathroom combined. We also appreciate that the furniture sees a lot of traffic so is bound to show signs of wear and tear. As for the firmness of the pillows that’s just personal preference, I didn’t like them my husband found them very comfortable.

Location was ideal. Walking distance to shops, sea, entertainment.

As soon as you opened front door, the smell of stale smoke, hit you in the face, absolutely stank.

Very basic, beds small, like a 60s b+b, didn't have breakfast, because of the rank cigarette smell, stale, im sure it was in the carpets, so offensive.

Loved the warm welcome and cosy clean room and the fact everything you need is on your doorstep.

No negatives whatsoever.

We only used room and shower next to room all good.

We were happy with what we used.

Arrived a bit earlier from Cornwall Debbie showed me to my room ,,could not fault it 100% spot on ,,was given room key nd front door key I came and went as I pleased ,,no harassment from either of them just a very polite hello ,,could not fault there loverly place

Home from home lots of things in the room that other b@bs dont have fridge and table and chairs to sit round lots of wardrobe hanging space. Very clean and a large room with large windows and lots of natural light.Teas and coffees always filled up.Friendly welcome.And very reasonable price. Great location for beach.

Good location near the big wheel, rooms clean & tidy, Debbie & Shaun are really friendly hosts, come and go as you please, breakfast smelt amazing (we're not early risers so didn't order them), 10am checkout, tea & coffee making facilities, towels, toilet rolls, lovely shower, fridge & freeview tv

Noisy seagulls (but you'll get that anywhere) Rooms we had were compact so not as spacious as we're used to (self catering) but do have everything you need

Lovely owners very friendly. Great location near to beach, convenience store, pub etc. Lovely room, clean and tidy had a television, fridge , sink in the room and wardrobe etc.

I would definitely get on suite bathroom as shower and toilet was down the hall but not too inconvenient.

Debbie and Shaun looked out for me put me in the first room upstairs as I,m sight impaired and have trouble getting around and loved the fridge in the room so you could have cold drinks and snacks

The price and location near some good cheap pubs and close to the seafront.very hot weather during my stay would come again.

The long coach journey due to a train strike not the hotels fault but everything else was fine.
