Beautiful location, good breakfast, friendly, helpful staff.

Compared to the Scottish Youth Hostel in Oban the common areas were disappointingly shabby, also my husband's bed was very squeaky (!) as were the floor boards.

Going up hills to the hostel, specially with luggage and then the stairs in the hostel, is not a delight!

the bathroom wasn’t great. It smelled of dampness, there was mould on the ceiling and on the shower. The hot water tap didn’t work and the hot water was to warm to use on its own

There was some weird chemical like smell in our room I think it was potentially the carpets, not sure but we've kept the window open and that helped. The smell stayed on our clothes however so we had to wash them all after returning home.

it is located on the hill and has a beautiful view. the room was spotless. each bunk had 2 sockets which is great so everyone could recharge their phone. We also were given a bath towel and had 2 good quality pillows which was great. The bathroom was an en-suite and was clean. We also had 2 bedside tables and a little table with a chair in front of the window which served as a desk. The kitchen were spacious and had 2 big fridges. The dining room had a beautiful view, and there were 2 different sitting rooms. Outside were 2 picnic tables and a bench. It was quiet away from the main road and only 10mns walk to the town centre. I would happily return in this hostal.

Only one easily accessible plug socket, small shower with blocked plug hole, no kettle, youth hostel location wrong on Google maps so hard to find.

Good value for money, great view of town but still walkable to shops and restaurants. Free tea and coffee facilities and kitchen use. comfortable common rooms.

Bed could be more comfortable. Shower cleaning needs more attention to detail.

Wi-Fi signal weak, toilet flush not so easy to use (my mom and my wife had some trouble using it), bedframes are not so sturdy.

The location was really good and the facilities (room, private bathroom, shared kitchen) were very clean.

The beds were not very comfortable.

Pet friendly. Staff were approachable and helpful. We had a private en-suite room which met our needs. Clean and comfortable with a great view from the window. Good self-catering facilities. We very much enjoyed our first visit to Pitlochry. It's a nice town with lots of eateries, a supermarket (great for self-catering), and there's walks from the doorstep. Mountain walks a short drive away too. We would definitely recommend.

The continental breakfast was poor value for money. We would take our own next time.
