although breakfast was ok didn’t like to have to pre order before.. and I think the produce could of been better quality..

Andy and Sarah introduced themselves when I arrived and made me feel very welcome without being too intrusive . The breakfast every morning was of good quality and was given a choice of different combinations to request the day before . The property was well positioned within close walking distance to the town.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The whole place was very clean and very welcoming. It didn't matter what we asked for they supplied it. We would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

The bed was too soft as we are use to a firm mattress at home. The gravel driveway wasn't very good for suitcases as it made it hard to pull.

From my visit last year I knew Andy and Sarah are excellent hosts. This time I came with friends on my recommendation who were equally pleased. We come to Sidmouth to play in croquet competitions with early starts. Our hosts made sure our breakfasts were ready at the precise time requested - we were most grateful. It's ideal having a comfortable lounge in which to relax and the lovely summerhouse in the secluded garden is a bonus.

Hosts were exceptionally friendly and thoughtful. Breakfast was great; with varied choices. Room was really clean.

I would of preferred a longer duvet that tucked in bottom of bed; I only found the blanket on the morning we left!

We loved the Groveside the first time in 2019, so it was a no-brainer to go back. Lovely room, great breakfast and friendly hosts. Sidmouth and it’s surroundings will steal a part of your heart, like it did mine, 28 years ago. Go, and eat in ‘The Anchor’. They are still op top of my list.
