Really nice rooms with an amazing view, we woke up looking at the crater which was awesome. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Would totally recommend this place.

The room and the beds were extremely confy It was amazingly silent The spot was remote, during the season you don't have to go far looking for aurora The breakfast is large and good The check in out and stay was easy Nice view

As I said The spot was remote so it can be approached only by car (you will most likely rent one) It is further then it seems especially in winter circumstances The cellar floor was fresly painted, we had a little paint smell, still it felt clean

Quite difficult road during the winter if you don’t have at least SUV. But it is not a constraint. You only should be ready to rent such a type of car.

The family room is the basement. Very uncomfortable stairs down with laggage or young children. When we arrived young women that works there help us with the luggage. When we left we asked the guy who also work there to help us as well but he refused. The place requests to remove bed sheets when you leave. Very wired request.

Views from the windows to the mountains and horses are beautiful.

There were no bowls in the second floor kitchen.

Family run homestay. Sparkling clean room and their bedsheets smell good.

Small room. Waiting for toilet in the morning and space to prepare breakfast. There is only one small table, 3 chairs and small sofa in the shared area with fridge and sink to share with many ppl. You can’t use the area downstairs if you don’t buy their breakfast.

Olafur and Sigrun were very helpful and informative.

Place was clean and there was a lot of room for common areas. The staff was very friendly and had a nice array of tea and wonderful coffee available

Very tight spiral staircase going downstairs to my room. It was cumbersome getting luggage down there. Only 2 of the rooms were down there I also got stuck with 3 beds in my tiny room. Imagine a small bedroom you'd have for a child and 3 single beds crammed in. I'm not sure how 3 people would have had room for any of their stuff, for me it was fine since I had the room to myself

Amazing guesthouse with really nice and friendly hosts. Cozy and wonderful common rooms. We only spent one night but if our planning was longer I'm sure we would have stayed more days here, as it surpassed our expectations :)

The dinner the owners cooked was so delicious! I wholeheartedly recommend ordering the dinner. The owners were very courteous, taking me in at midnight! The house was very clean with a good spirit. The location was a rural area, making it a perfect place to rest up for 2 nights.

My GPS did not work well finding the house, however, the directions provided by the owners via booking.com were perfect.

The property is cosy and comfortable. We were there for 2 nights, the bathrooms and facilities are okay we had everything we needed.

1) clean and well-equipped place, 2) extremely nice owners of the hotel 3) the hostel offers lunches at a decent price for Iceland 4) good wifi

The only thing we can complain about is the unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom

Great cozy place, and they also have a restaurant for breakfast and dinner. The staff is very friendly, rooms neat, all was great!

To access the location, you have to drive 5km on a gravel road. The road is fine though, so it wasn’t an issue for us.

The place is amazing.

We travelled around Iceland for 9 days and it was definitely the best place we stayed during the trip. The owners Ólafur and Sigrún are amazing and very friendly local couple. We arrived late and hungry and got tasty pizzas and wine for a dinner, nice conversation and many recommendations for for our next day activities. The place itself is cosy, very quite, clean, big rooms and beds were very comfortable. Very easy to find a a lot of parking. I will definitely recommend it to any of my friends travelling in Iceland.

it’s very clean and the room is big enough and comfy, the decoration of the room and the whole house is nice

I got told the latest check-in time was 11pm on our way from Akureyri to Bær , the weather at that time was pouring and got lots of mist that we couldn’t drive fast as it’s hard to see the road , so I told the staff that we will be there for 5-10mins late and they were so insisted that if we didn’t arrive before 11pm the door will be locked and we could not get in . So we forced to drive faster to get there on time in a raining and foggy weather and we even almost had a car accident. If the weather was fine then I’ll think it’s fair to ask, but since I’ve already told them the weather was bad and pouring and we’ve already try our best to be there ASAP , the feedback I got from them was not feeling nice , so be careful about the check-in time
