Ally and Mike were great hosts with lots of useful info. Great place and location.

The location was very difficult to find as there is no signage on the outside. Parking is also a challenge. The host however did meet us and help us with our luggage after we called for help! The room was very large and had a nice view. The host also prepared fresh fruit for us earlier than typically breakfast time so we could head out to hike.

The bed was not very comfortable and there was no fan. It was very warm and we found it hard to sleep. There was no instruction given for wi-fi upon arrival.

A small family run B&B with extremely friendly and professional owners (Ally & Mike). Amazing attention to detail, the room we stayed in was spotless and very comfortable with a nice ensuite shower. Breakfast in the morning was a top quality English cooked breakfast with all the options, including self serve cereals and fresh fruits and yogurts. Ally & Mike are very welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable with recommendations etc. Elvis the dog was the star of the show!

Beautiful room and bathroom with a great shower, really great location. Within walking distance of the train/bus station. Really friendly and welcoming hosts who go above and beyond and have lots of great recommendations for restaurants and activities. Elvis and Molly are both lovely pets. Excellent breakfast with lots of options.

Holbein House is in a great location, within walking distance from the rail station, promenade and centre of town. It stands out among the other B&Bs in the street as its signage is discreet and stylish. Great communication from hosts explaining the self check in process for late arrival - worked like a charm. The room was airy (beautiful large windows), and large beautiful high ceilings. Very comfortable bed and a brilliant shower. Loved the guest book explaining everything and also the handy tips for restaurants and pubs (very helpful on a quiet Monday night). The breakfast room was beautiful and the table laid beautifully with care - it felt like such a treat in the morning. Lots of choice and quality in terms of cereal, yoghurt and fruit (and even banana bread and brownies), and then followed by a cooked breakfast of your choice (gorgeous scrambled eggs). Delicious coffee. The hosts were hospitable and friendly and added to the great atmosphere in this beautiful B&B. They care about what they do and it shows.

We loved our stay at Holbein House. The hosts are extremely nice, the house is beautiful, and their pets (dog, cat and bunny) are absolutely adorable. The location is good, in a residential neighbourhood and very close to a beautiful park and also to the sea. There are a Lidl and a Co-op within a 10-minute walk. The train station is 15 minutes away by walking. The breakfast (served between 8am-9:15am) was freshly cooked and delicious. We’d love to go back one day!
