We were looking for a property that could house around 14 people and have sufficient bathrooms. This property worked great. The photos do not show the house as spacious as it is. One night we had 12 people sitting comfortably in the living room. The kitchen is very well equipped. I even was able to use a large pot to heat a batch of soup I had made for 15 people. This same pot would be great for sweet.corn in the summer. There were sufficient dishes and silverware for the group. We were fortunate that the weather was warm enough to use the fire pit. The use of the garage to bring things into the house was great. The neighborhood is very nice,! yet convenient to supermarkets and shopping.. Would definitely book this property again. Tim was very communicative and also respectful of our privacy.

It is in a good location and will fit the sleeping and cooking needs of most large groups (8-14 people).

Very quiet and convenient location for a Des Moines area stay. The house was very roomy and accommodated the eight people in our group.

Spacious house. We had 4 adults and 5 kids 6 mo - 16 yo. They had a great time. Big back yard for them to play in, beautiful gazebo and firepit. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will look up again in the future.

Great property! The kitchen was well equipped for all our cooking needs. However, the home definitely could use a full size bath on the main floor

My family is spread out over several states and we get together every year for a week at different locations depending on our excuse to get together. This house was the perfect location this year. It's usually about a dozen of us and sometimes a couple more. There was plenty of room for us all to have our privacy in the evening and comfortably congregate all at once. We spent most of our time in the kitchen/dining/living room area inside and outside in the gazebo. The furniture was comfortable as were the beds. There were plenty of activities to interact so we hardly had the TV on. It was a great week spending time with family. I would definitely recommend this house to any medium to large group passing through the area whether it be for business or personal reasons. It's a regular house but it's clear the owners put an effort into making it comfortable and inviting. This place has a good vibe.

We had a great time with my family and my brother and his kids at this house. It had lots of beds/bedrooms to accommodate everyone. The basement was fun for the kids, but it did just have a foosball table, not the other things pictured. The table/chairs were upgraded from the photos and they are nice, sturdy chairs, 6 of them. The owner was helpful in communication and even helped look for a left stuffed animal after we checked out.

Living room furniture could be updated. Only enough chairs for 4 to dine together—awkward for a larger group. Otherwise very comfortable.

We enjoyed our stay in this spacious 5 bedroom home with a large deck and gazebo to enjoy the beautiful Iowa weather. All beds were comfortable and the home had everything you would need to have a large family stay over. We would like to go back again next year.

This was the perfect property for our stay the week before our daughter's wedding. Ground floor bedroom for Grandma, plenty of room for parents, siblings and bridesmaids. Spacious for preparations and convenient to shopping. Highly recommended.

The house was lacking cleanliness in showers. Also, the kitchen had old leftover food in the refrigerator and cabinets, and there were only two spoons.

Good combination of privacy and # of beds. Kitchen/dining/family room worked great for casual eating and visiting. All my travelers would do it again. Note: WiFi extender needs to be rebooted occasionally (finally figured that out after problems maintaining network connection)

This place is large and accommodating in a nice neighborhood. Easy access to any needs. Beds were comfortable and kitchen had what we needed to cook. Nice backyard but we didnt use it due to winter weather. It is December. Finished basement with rooms was a great place for kids to cut loose and play. The only suggestion for the host is to update the sofas in the main gathering area. Overall id come again. Thanks to Timothy he was easy to contact if we needed anything.

The house was very spacious and the children LOVED the games, especially the Fussball table and basketball game. They didn't want to leave! The house has a nice yard and is next to a huge park and the trail system along the rivers. It was very convenient to the freeway, restaurants, grocery stores, and Super Target, and not far from Drake University. The owners were extra accommodating; when they learned we were arriving in town early, they went to the house at night to clean so we wouldn't have to get a hotel the day before our reservation. Talk about customer service! :-) In short, the house was perfect for us!

Great place. We were visiting for the World Percheron Congress and wanted room to relax after a day at the fairgrounds. So much nicer then going to a cramped hotel room and less expensive.

The house is amazing, with added perks like a fuseball table and a wii!!!! Tim was way helpful when we were short a few eggs for a cooking project and worked with us on the thermostat!! Would absolutely stay here again!!!!

We were in Iowa exhibiting at the state fairgrounds. We didn't spend a lot of time at the house but everything we needed was there. We had great communication with Tim. If we every make it out again to the World Pork Expo, we will certainly book again!

We very much enjoyed our stay in the house. It was in a nice, quiet neighborhood that was well located for our needs. We could shop at a Super Target not far from the house. We could easily access the local venues we needed to visit. It just made for a pleasant stay. The host, although we never met, was a gracious and patient with us. The house was left in good condition for us with all the necessary amenities for our stay. Yes, it was a bit dated in places, but it was still very comfortable and easily accommodated our party with room to spare.

Kitchen supplies were sparse. Talked to the owner and he didn't know the can opener had went missing and there was no mixer. He said he was going to get them. Also not a complete set of towels and wash clothes. He also said he would replace what was missing there. Other than that it was a beautiful house and we would use the home again when we are in the city.

We were a group of moms and daughters in the area for a horse show. There was plenty of space to spread out, accommodations were clean and in good working order. The owner lives next door and was able to come over and help us with a tv issue which was very convenient. This is the 2nd time we have stayed here and we would come back again without hesitation. Had a wonderful stay, plenty of room great house for a family to rent. Very quiet street and felt very safe. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The back yard deck is awsome I would definitely recommend and plan on staying again when in town, hopefully it will be available. Absolutely loved our stay.
