Very functional, full kitchen, fridge, frigobar in your room, small and comfortable
Too dark , very small windows, almost no natural light inside

We loved staying in the Palapa king bed room. I've been to the Casaejido before and I love it. Clean, comfy bed, quiet, tropical setting away from the hustle of 5th Avenue. We had the best hot water shower of our trip. The a/c was great. Wifi in our room and in the common areas perfect! We didn't cook this time, but the communal kitchen is huge and well stocked with all the essentials. We place a high value on quiet surroundings, so the trade off is a 20 minute walk to the beach or 5th Avenue. You can catch an inexpensive taxi, but we love walking.

Lovely peacelocation just outside town.
Too many towels were washed u necessarily- save the planet!

The room was lovely, clean and comfortable and the pool and kitchen facilities were great. I hardly saw anyone else so it was also super private.
It was a bit far away from the actual main Street and the beach, about 25 minutes walk but there is a large supermarket at the end of the street so it's not too bad.

Quiet location, clean and spacious bed, a fridge and a small stove so you can prepare your meals.
A bit further away from the beach but it is walkable (25 min)

The bed was one of the most comfortable in all of our 6 week stay Mexico!
The duvet cover was luxurious and warm and the sheets were sparkling clean and soft.
The place was like a hidden Shangri-la after you went past the gate, which is what alot of smaller hotels do in Mexico.
It had a nice basic well stocked kitchen with two burner stove, coffee maker, blender, utensils and dishes
It also had a full sized refrigerator that worked well.
There was a full sized table with four chairs
The decor was dated and a little rustic, but clean and functional.
We really liked having a 5 gallon of water dispenser on the kitchen counter.
The plants and decorations in the inner courtyard leading to our room were beautiful.
The staff were helpful and friendly.
The TV worked good and had installed You Tube and other Apps.
The big step up into the bathroom.. at least six-7 inches tall. It took getting used to.
Many older hotels have a big step up into the bathroom, but this was our first hotel room that had it, so it was a little bit of an adjustment.
The neighborhood around was a little run down and dirty, but the actual street the hotel was on was good.
We had to park outside on the street, but nothing ever happened bad at all to our car.

Unfortunately, I kinda screwed up and missed out on breakfast. Seems my phone and computer were set to two different time zones, I had a rough couple nights before and lost a lot of possessions... but overall,, I think the place is incredible, and take full responsibility for the mix-up that occurred, though hope to have the opportunity to stay there again, and would recommend it to anyone interested in traveling in the area.
It was a rough morning and I take full responsibility for my poor Spanish, as I was trying to ask the property manager if she had been the owner to whom I had been texting. It is what it is.

Nice and cozy place a few minutes drive from Playa’s downtown

The B&B is located in a beautiful and very quiet residential area. There are several good eating options close by.
The building and grounds are very quaint and charming.
Considering the number of English speaking tourists visiting Playa del Carmen, it would be beneficial to have a bilingual receptionist. It would allow visitors to take advantage of the services and attractions the B&B provides.

I really think I can't give a proper review of the property as I was there only for 5 minutes, I can say the location was good and seemed safe, I arrived pretty late at night and people were still walking around. The link I received for the location was right on and easy to get to. I got instructional videos to enter and to get to my room, this was all great in both Spanish and English.
As my wife and I looked at the reviews this already had we decided it was a good place to book as it was a last-minute decision. We had gone to Xcaret for the day, and had planned to drive to Valladolid right after the night show but realized we were too tired to drive that far. When we got there I went into the room to turn on the AC and check it out while my wife was getting things ready so we can carry things from the car. I heard a noise coming from the palapa, and there was a mouse running down the palapa towards me, I was in shock and then it ran and hid behind the microwave. I took photos of where it happened left immediately. I told my wife we can't stay here there is a mouse and maybe more so lets just let the staff know what happened and ask for a refund. I mean these things happen its a palapa, a tropical place some tiny holes will allow for some occasional infiltration of animals and insects. What I was not ready was for the response
I SAY
I explained what happened and that I have pictures where i saw the mouse coming and going into. I told her I just want a refund, how do we proceed?
The host SAID
Pero por donde entre
she sent a voice message that says "Hola que tal Buenas noches? no puedo hace mucho para ir a lo del raton"
"Hi, how are you? I cant do much to go see the mouse situation"
The host SAID - It must have entered through the window but it must go out by itself but its not dangerous and it won't do anything to you. In fact, some guests just left today and they didn't mention there were any mice.
I told her I would just contact booking.com and let them know,
I mean maybe the place would have been great but the way the host handled the situation I think was unacceptable.
I have the conversation on whatsapp for confirmation in any case.

Beautiful room and kind staff with a really great swimming pool. The bed was amazing too. No barking dogs or roosters, which is a big plus in Mexico. I've loved this place.
An excellent quality-price ratio
Wi-Fi is not always good

It all started well. We booked a room in this nice-looking hotel. The host contacted me shortly after that on Whatsapp with a welcome message. I told her we don't know the time of our arrival yet, because we're going to travel from Merida by car.
After we knew approximate time of our arrival, we informed her of it. Since we were already on our way, I could contact her only from a Mexican phone number. So she asked which name our reservation is under - and I replied. Then I saw my message was read, but no reply ever since.
We had to figure out by ourselves how (and where) to get in. There was nobody from the staff and the wifi password (which we'd been given before) didn't work (it was a few years outdated). The number we were in contact with before didn't answer our calls. The other contact numbers were available only on the other side of a locked gate. Thankfully there were some guests outside on the street, who helped us. They gave us correct wifi password and tried to contact the host on one of the other phone numbers they had - but they were either out of service or nobody was picking them up.
We neither have any information about which lock-box might be ours nor what the code is. We didn't even know in which property are we going to stay in, since there are actually 2 properties under the same name run by the same owner - across the street from each other.
Later we found out the host actually sent us instructions: as a video, about at the time when check-in starts (probably to ensure nobody will be able to check in earlier). We had finished a 5-hours long journey - and because she sent the instructions to the phone which doesn't have Mexican SIM card - we were left locked out.
After some tens of minutes, one of the guests who was so kind to help us and contacted the host in our name was finally successful and the host arrived.
the property listing. To our big surprise the host took us to that other property across the street (which btw has a separate listing here on booking.com). When we objected we're sure we booked a room in that other hotel, she briefly checked it and told us smiling that we didn't. Looks like this commonly happens to them.
We checked our booking confirmation and realized that despite choosing the 2nd most expensive room "in the hotel", we've actually been given a room from the cheaper hostel across the street. It turned out this hotel actually offers also rooms from that hostel and if you don't click on the chosen room to see the actual photos beforehand, you may be easily tricked into booking something totally different.
We complained that the listing says there's a pool, but there was none at the hostel. The host said we can visit the hotel pool across the street anytime.
It was late night already, so we originally planned to stay there for a night and then try to find something else. But after we saw our room we decided better not to spend there any night. It wasn't dirty, but it wasn't shining clean either. An old locked box made from a cookie tin titled "Tips" on a table at the center of the room just underlined the atmosphere of this place. We didn't feel well there, so we decided rather to leave immediately and we informed the host about it. Plus our room had a big glass sliding door, so we'd have to listen to the people talking in the courtyard below the whole night.
Later we contacted booking and complained about this borderline-scam practice. Despite that our booking confirmation clearly states that cancelation fee is at most $70, they charged us full price!!!
Last but not least: From the map it looks like it's in the broader city center, or something like that. In reality this place is far from everything. We were so glad we had a car and could get out of there on our own.

Better than the pictures or rating reflects. Wonderful Palapa style. An oasis. There is a huge kitchen so it would be great for a longer term stay. The facilities and staff were great! have already recommended to others!
Location isn't near any restaurants or stores. While I thought they offered breakfast, they didn't. Wish they at least offered coffee.

This place was an oasis of tranquility. We had one cabana in front of the pool and it was amazing to be able to have our breakfast with the nice warm weather by the pool every morning. The cabana was great, had a gigantic bed and was equipped with fridge, microwave, pans, utensils and a free potable water tank. This was amazing, as we didn't have to buy extra water bottles for the days we were in Playa del Carmen. With a rental car, we were only between 7 and 10 minutes away from the center and the other side of the city.
Nothing, everything made our stay very special. Thank you.

Placid lovely and quiet even on a Saturday night in Mexico! We stayed there for one night between two big days of travel and got the sleep and comfort we so needed! Yummy healthy restaurant nearby. Would be great for a longer stay as the kitchen was very good.
Its not a Bed and Breakfast in the original meaning. At B&B Casaejido breakfast is included for a fee. No big deal. it’s a great place.

A home away from home! With a very kind hostess and gorgeous accommodation in a quiet neighborhood, we had an amazing time. The kitchen is huge and the place super comfortable. We wish we could've stayed longer. Highly recommend!
Nothing. A true hidden gem

The hotel is beautiful and the room was good, with all the necessary furniture. The bed was comfortable.
No check in or check out in person made our stay quite impersonal. And, we had difficulties to access our room upon arrival (because no one was there), which is definitely not the best when you’re arriving from 12 hours of plane and are very tired. Also our room was just above the common kitchen so very noisy.
