Extremely comfortable and convenient house. The ability for my dogs to be able to stay as well was much appreciated.

All went really well with the House, it was very comfortable and supplied with everything we needed, great having 2 bathrooms and we appreciated being able to include our puppy for the stay.

We booked for the weekend, and had a fabulous time! The outdoor entertaining space was perfect for our cheese platters and wine overlooking the lovely garden.

Great location, comfortable stay however property needs some updating - old tv couldn’t stream, old oven dials popped off, terrible design of bath/shower resulting in excess water overflowing onto floor/around toilet.
Owner unexpectedly just turned up and nosey neighbor next door did same - all a bit odd.

Maylands Cottage was a very homly, comfortable cottage for 4 x adults.
Being well situated, close to bus stop and city centre made exploring the area easy to navigate and very accessible.
2 minor downfalls.
The alarm, marked as "alarm do not touch", was activated 3/4 night (between 1 & 2am). Required touching the untouchable, to press the on/off button to cancel alarm.
Drainage in small bathroom. Water from shower did not drain efficiently through shower drain. Water collected and ran to drain in front of toilet, soaking all bathmats that required hanging outside after each shower. Mop did not dry the area appropriately, and required wiping up with rags.
Minor issues that did not distract too much from comfortable, homliness of cottage.

Quiet, Easy to get to and good location. The house and grounds are immaculately clean and tidy. I would not hesitate to recommend this cottage and would definitely stay again

A beautifully updated classic 19th century Adelaide bluestone cottage, set in an area of similar heritage. It was lovely to walk the dogs and explore the area's heritage. The cottage is located only a short walk from the local pub for a nice meal, public transport to get you to the city and various shops and cafes.
The cottage itself feels large and the back garden is stunning. My dogs enjoyed patrolling it and discovered to their joy a discarded chew treat cleverly hidden in shrubbery by a previous visitor.
I was impressed at how well the kitchen was stocked - literally felt like home.
The main negative comes with it being located on a heritage street that was established before cars were invented. The driveway would be tight for anything but a small car. Many homes don't have onsite parking and so residents need to park on the street. The council allows parking almost directly across from the cottage's driveway; which, on a very narrow street, means you may find yourself effectively blocked in.

Great location, walking distance to shops and restaurants on The Parade in Norwood. Quiet street, so we all slept well. The beds are comfortable and the home and kitchen are well equipped. Loved it! Had a fun few days in Adelaide and would stay here again. Thanks!

The house is within walking distance (for us, but we enjoy walking) to the Norwood shopping precinct and is absolutely beautiful. Very clean with an excellent kitchen. The garden is beautiful and our dog had a lovely time protecting us from the birds. The host is lovely and communicated well

We enjoyed this comfortable property and loved the beautiful back garden. Main bedroom king bed was super comfy. Bathrooms were both good and modern and the evaporative cooling was really perfect. Cool without drying you out. Cleaners may need a little guidance as some areas needed attention. Eg a few inhabited spider webs and some cups and pots in cupboards were not clean. But overall is good level of cleanliness. We struggled to work out how to park initially as the driveway is narrow as is the street. When a car is parked opposite the driveway it’s tight. Backing in is the best option. Overall a great house in a lovely area, very well located for the festival zones. We would stay again with pleasure.

The home is great and it does feel like a home, the back yard is beautiful and secure. Loved the style of the home, the location was so great could walk to restaurants, shops and parks. Was a easy drive into the cbd, yes the parking was tight at the property but it’s the same for every property around the area. Great price and value for money, you can tell the difference that it’s owned and managed by its owner.

We had a wonderful experience at this property. We had an extended stay - over a month. Margie is a thoughtful, thorough host. The property was extremely well appointed for a long or short stay; and prepared for either warm or cool weather. We used the kitchen and outdoor BBQ/eating area frequently. There is room for a car but would suggest street parking. Public transit is frequent and 10 minutes to the CBD. 15-20 minutes from wineries and fabulous hiking at one of the numerous parks. Groceries, fresh fish, etc 10 minute walk in Norwood. We very much enjoyed our stay here and recommend.

The accommodation was a mix of older and newer and was just perfect. It felt like I had ended up in a secret magical location. The garden was beautiful. I enjoyed a bath, washed our clothes and then could hang them, had the best sleep, loved all the furniture and furnishings, the generosity of the kitchen crockery etc, the internet and coffee machine. The neighbours were friendly too. The three pets were so relaxed and like me did not want to live. I was lucky enough to meet Margie and she is really nice. Thank you Margie for allowing us to stay. I so want to come back!

Margie went out of her way to help us during and after our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this quaint cottage for the week, and particularly enjoyed being able to walk to the wonderful Norwood Parade for cafes, restaurants and the cinema. Our dog loved the big backyard and the house itself was beautifully decorated and very spacious for our family to stay in. Would definitely recommend it for all future guests and would love to stay here again in the future. Thanks Margie again for all your help m. 😀

Home indoors and outdoors and location to cbd excellent. Parking is a huge issue as driveway very short and narrow even for a small car and the street is extremely with many residents parking on it making finding a safe legal parking place and driving down the street difficult,

This was a really nice property, it was very clean, with a comfortable bed, nice bathrooms, and everything we needed for our stay. One of the best properties we have stayed in, it ticked all our boxes.
The backyard is really peaceful, with lovely plants and lots of bird activity. Neighbourhood is quiet without any night noises. Would definitely recommend, and would certainly stay again.
Only 2 comments, we did have difficulty with getting the oven to work as it didn't seem to heat up, although it could have been us not using it properly. The other comment, it would be helpful to have a hand rail in the climb in shower/bath for safety getting in and out.
However these are little things and this is certainly a 5 star property.

We had a lovely stay in a beautiful cottage that was nestled in the leafy suburb of Maryland's. It was close to local shops and the city of Adelaide. The cottage is well set out with all the creature comforts of a home. We took our two fur babies and the yard was perfect, very secure and safe. We will be back again.

A warm and welcoming house
We spent a few wintry days staying in Adelaide with our dogs. The house is lovely; large spacious rooms and well appointed. The two bathrooms looked to be recently renovated and provided all the facilities we needed. I was impressed by the laundry facilities which would be great for a longer stay. The garden was perfect for our dogs; fully fenced and private. The outdoor entertaining area would be wonderful in summer but provided good undercover protection for the dogs. The house is located in a small quiet street. Parking is limited but available. We parked a small suv in the driveway and a large van in the street. This is a beautiful period cottage that really has an ‘“Adelaide feel”.

This very clean, cosy and comfortable home is tucked away in a quiet street just a short drive from the CBD and the Adelaide Hills. Our small dog loved the back garden which is securely fenced. The kitchen is well equipped with cooking utensils. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Just seconds from main intersection and busy streets is this amazing, beautifully restored and maintained cottage. Maylands is an idyllic tree lined suburb with all the charm and quiet of an English village.
