The house was exceptionally clean, and had all of the amenities needed for a family of five on the road. We were very appreciative of the hand sanitiser and bathroom supplies being plentiful. I would not hesitate to bring my family back to Bicheno Blue Horizon to stay.

It would be even better if an internet service was available (even if for a few dollars extra per night).

The view was excellent, the house layout works well

The house was very unclean, all glass surfaces including dining table and windows had heavy smear marks from old unsuccessful cleaning attempts and fingerprints all over them, oven was disgusting, wanted to bake off a pre cooked shepherds pie and decided to keep the lid on the casserole to keep the germs out. This contradicts the printed COVID statement that everything has been cleaned to an extra level...Please check out the oven. before using it..Couch/settee had stains on it and was very grubby, can only guess what the stains were, and so we decided to cover with (our own) sheets). The wood fire flue needs cleaning and the cowling on top has part blown off, very smokey when trying to get it going but went well once underway. Had a disappointing exchange with the property manager when he was contacted to give feedback. No apology for cleanliness issue, just empty promise to fix it which didn't help our situation at all. Will not be booking any properties under management of that company again. Sounds like we are whingers right? Not so, at $200+ per night just wanted a clean place to stay, we can forgive some other things but not cleanliness, especially now.

Location was great, lovely view from the deck. Good size plate for the family with nice off street parking.

Cleanliness was not great, we had to clean kitchen surfaces and tables when we arrived. Some dishes still had food stuck so needed to rewash these as well - given COVID situation this should not happen. Fridge was also extremely noisy, like washing machine on spin cycle noisy.

The house was comfortable, the kitchen well equipped

Next door neighbours were noisy , some linen had stains on them and pillows did not have protectors
