The house was spacious and comfortable. The bedrooms were small, but comfortable and the beds were mostly good, though a couple seemed worn. The deck was large and a great place to sit. We did not use the hot tub, and it's placement under the deck was unfortunate.

The home was wonderful, very cozy, very spacious. We loved the area very quiet and warming for my family. We did have a morning visit from a cub bear whom the kids enjoyed seeming from the inside of the home. Upon calling management they instructed and guided us on what to do; we found that very helpful and allowed us to stay calm. The hot tube amazing!!! And the view from the top porch both in the morning and night was also amazing . Only tiny, tiny issue was that all doors to enter the house being glass scared us after the cub appeared and that there was no dumpster on or near the property only a shaft that we were afraid to place the trash during our stay after the cub seeked for food. We were about 15 total and no one wanted to go home; they wanted to extend the stay. We loved the experience and would love to visit the home and Vermont in the near future. Would definitely recommend this location to everyone.

Great location. House was accurate to description. Only complaints where trash and no vacuum or snow shovel. There was trash in outside bin when we arrived and we quickly filled rest of bin with our own trash. Dumpster was completely full so we had to pile trash on top. No vacuum to clean up after ourselves and no shovel to clear walk way and deck when we arrived. Snow removal services did show up the next day to plow and shovel however. Overall we would stay again

The Bear Run house was perfect for our group of 6 adults and 6 kids, and it easily could have accommodated another 4. The only challenge was fitting everyone around the kitchen table at dinner time. Bedrooms were cozy. The location is a super convenient 5 minute drive to Killington. Just be careful getting up and down to the main road. It is steep and can get very slippery. Our 4x4 car had no problem, but I could see cars without 4-wheel drive having trouble. Recommend!

The management company clearly communicated this to us and offered various comparable and even better options. The house was in great condition, clean, comfortable, cozy, and accommodating. One minor thing is that check out is at 10am which is really early so when you're paying for two nights, it ends up equating to less than 48 hours and made for a rushed departure. Additionally, the walkways were icy and could've been treated a bit better. Those things aside, we LOVED Bear Run, highly recommend it - the location was great and close to the mountain and resturants, the check in/check out process was easy, and we really enjoyed our time there.

The location was key. A quick drive and we were at the course, and more importantly, after 26+ miles and countless hours the drive back was quick. There were a few draw backs, the property is on top of the mountain, only rent if you're going in an suv; two of our cars got stuck going up the driveway. The driveway was not properly maintained, when we arrived the entire driveway was ice; the next day when it snowed, I had to call to get the driveway plowed. Additionally; there were cob webs and spiders in the living room; it did not look as if it had been cleaned. Main room on first floor temperature was very cold, the thermosat either did not work or was hard to use (no instructions), unfortunately we did not get to use the room. Some wear and tear on some bed linens as well. Overall good experience, but wasn't blown away by the property.

I went with a group of 15 friends (ages 18-24) for the weekend. The house is exactly as pictured and we all had plenty of space. We were happy to see how clean and nice the house was upon arrival. We had a fantastic time at the house. Unfortunately, the Skyship Gondola was not open due to lack of snow (only half the mountain was open), so we had to drive to Snowshed base to park our cars everyday. This wasn't too much of a hassle, but we wish Skyship was open for the weekend! That would have made the location even better. It was about a 10 minute drive to Killington Access Road where all restaurants and bars are, so it was nice and close. We went out to dinner one night and went out to the Pickle Barrel another night, the drive wasn't a problem at all. The hot tub was awesome after snowboarding all day. It only fit 8 people, but we just went in shifts. The only downside, and the reason why I gave 4 stars, is that the driveway is not paved, and it's steep. Most people had jeeps or cars that were good in the snow. However, we had one smaller car and one van in the group. The smaller car couldn't make it up the driveway at all, and the van got stuck at the top 3 or 4 times. I would recommend they pave the driveway in the summer so that they can properly plow it (since the driveway is gravel, there were uneven mounds of ice and snow throughout the entire driveway). The driveway being all jacked up made it more difficult to get up, even for the jeeps. The other very very minor complaint is that with 15 people, we had loads of garbage and didn't quite have enough room for it in the outside bins. We also didn't get a lot of instruction on what to do with recycling and ended up putting it in the same outdoor bin as the trash. Besides the driveway issues, we would definitely stay at this home again next year!!

This home offers the most relaxful, warm setting for our fall getaway. It has the perfect layout inside for several families. The home is very well taken care of and extremely clean. We spent our nights in the living room around the cozy gas fireplace and the family room with it's huge television/entertainment center. The bedrooms were charming and very comfortable. You truly get away from it all; you are surrounded by such peace and serenity. One week is only a tease as all ten of us wanted more. Needless to say, we will be returning next October!

A great ski house for a large group or family. Really nice to have the big family room on the first floor as well as the living area on the second floor so that people watching TV or playing games don't anoy people wanting to be quiet. Loved the peaceful location in the woods, but it's just off the main road and not far from the lifts and restaurants & bars etc. Plenty of bedrooms with a good mix of beds for couples, singles and kids. House was in great repair, clean and tidy in early 2011, but I understand from Jimmy (the owner), that they have painted and renovated most of the first and second floors over the summer, so it should be even better now. Jimmy was extremely patient, very helpful and a great guy to deal with, I will definitely rent from him again.
