Vila Bela is located in the beautiful town Porta da Cruz, with a great ocean view and rum distillery nearby :) We really enjoy eating delicious breakfast sitting at the tables at the ocean <3 Room was great, comfortable and clean. Delicious breakfast, tasty fruits and meat. Often fresh juice - yummy! And thank you for birthday gift - you made my day!!!

Everything was GREAT!!! But it was one thing which was weird for us - we noticed a bit different quality of breakfast depends on probably of number of guests. It was less choice when less guests, and more choices when we saw more guests on breakfast. It could be less food, when less people, we fully understand it! But it's fine to have a wide range of food everyday ;)

The sea view from the room and the dedicated terrace. The lady at the breakfast is very attentive and kind despite the hotel should assign at least two persons to attend the guest requests.

The hotel being a two stars has not a good value for money. The room at the third floor called suite is a joke. It’s a mini room with a mini bathroom. The mattress is old or a low quality. You feel the springs into your body. Your rest is not comfortable.

The hotel is in a stunning location, close to the beach with magnificent views along the coast. Really friendly, and helpful staff. Excellent buffet style breakfast.

The room had everything we needed but was a little "tired" in terms of it's decor and styling. The wonderful staff looked like they could have done with some extra help when the restaurant was busy.

The room was cleaned daily

The view was described as mountain view, but was half blocked by the back of the staircase, the other half was a view of an empty courtyard with stained walls, the above a glimpse of a mountain and sky.

was basic and even though good value for money I would rather a little bit more as not ideal for my holiday needs

Amazing place! The staff is very friendly and helps with all sorts of questions that you may have. They've offered and organized surfing lessons, it was a super fun experience, we enjoyed it. The view from the room was unbelievable 😍 We felt at home! We’ll definitely visit this place again. Thank you, guys! ❤️

Beautiful location, with stunning views over mountains and sea from our terrace and balcony. Loved swimming in the sea pool with the waves splashing over us.

Loved the location! It was fantastic to have breakfast overlooking the sea and hear the sound of the waves. Great to have the natural swimming pool nearby and close to lots of beautiful hikes. The accomodation was clean and staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was really good and set us up well for the morning hikes. Easy to park on the streets nearby and some nice bars and restaurants a few minutes away which was fab for a Poncha in the evening. :)

The room was very warm and the AC wasn't working. We therefore had to open the windows which meant that it was quite noisy. There are lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Noise also echoes in the corridor so when people entered it was loud.

Nice terrace with gorgeous view. Close to the beach, restaurants and seawater swimming pool. Good breakfast.

Lovely little village location right on the seafront. Gorgeous large balcony complete with hammock. Fabulous breakfast. Seawater swimming pool right next door.

Room was excellent. If you are able, try to book sea view with patio balcony. It's an excellent additional outdoor space (and it came with a hammock!)

We really liked the location of the hotel. Porto da cruz is very calm and beatiful tiny city. hotel vila Bela is right next to the see. you can enjoy great food in the hotel restaurant sittng on terrace with magic view to the ocean and rocky bay.

The toilet in our hotel room was broken and nobody was able to fix it during our visit.

It's a simple hotel with emphasis on the things that matter most: clean comfortable rooms, good food & nice staff. There are no facilities but that's fine

Beautiful views from the terrace, right next to the beach. Staff very friendly. Particularly enjoyed sitting having a coffee outside while watching sunrise. Very close to the waves at high tide, for those who love the sea. Nice base to explore the east of the island.

Paula organized a car for rent, a surfing-lesson and the airport transfer - without any complications. Our stay at the Vila Bela was a pleasure.

Great localization, straight on the water front, window and balcony opening up on the waves. Wonderful !

The biggest inconvenience for us was the fact that the room we were in was very close to the "cleaning/janitor" room, which meant a good level of noise / conversations, songs and laughs from the cleaning crew clearly heard from our room every morning. Probably not an issue if people are early risers, or rooms are not on the ground floor, but this was a bit of a nuisance to us. The reception was mostly vacant, so aside from the check in we never saw anyone from the hotel during our stay... The room was quite small, and the bathroom was a bit outdated.
