the bunk beds were very shaky in my room - even when person on lower bed was moving the whole bunk bed was shaking

Location was great, easy walking distance from intercity bus stop, city centre, all three major supermarkets nearby. Lovely walkways and parks easily accessible on foot. Comfortable lounging areas, comfy bed, well equipped kitchen.

I wanted to stay longer.

Good value for the money and good location.

Staff was rude because I arrived an hour after check in time without letting them know. Sure it was my bad for not letting them know but maybe they could specify how important it is to not arrive after check in time with an automated email to the customer. Or by calling the customer like most hostels do. You could also think of making an automated after-hour check in with a combination lock and by leaving the keys in an envelope. Much rather check myself in than having to deal with a grumpy guy after a long day of traveling. Looking at the other reviews this seems like an ongoing issue so I think you should try to improve on it.

I found it great value. Was pleased my grand daughter was able to join me at no extra cost. I liked the chap who was a permanent lodger. He was friendly and helpful. I will recommend this to my friends and family

My mattress was a bit lumpy. The bunks wobbly they creaked a lot haha. The light coming through the window in the door was a bit annoying. I put a towel over it. But hey I enjoyed my stay. Found the staff great too.

Top beds creak a lot

In general, recommended! Just had a negative experience. The location is great, the rooms are solid (mattresses are super soft, if that is your thing), the kitchen is adequately equipped, the living room/chill out area is superb and has a great style. Brett is very engaged that everything works and does not shy away from talking with people, who do not behave how you should behave in a hostel (like cleaning your dishes), which is great! Also great humour. :)

The kitchen cleaning stuff (sponges) could be changed more often, there are only two sinks on the ground floor, one of which is located in one of the shower rooms, the other one in the laundry. So it could happen that the shower is occupied and there would only be one sink left (for two toilets and brushing your teeth) if you don't want to go in the kitchen. Regarding my negative experience: during my first night I got woken up at 3 am by a roach crawling over my face. That was a bit unpleasant. The roach got removed the next day and there also is some roach spray standing around in the kitchen, if needed. But yeah... Without that I would give 8/10. 👍🏻

Nice staff, comfy bed, big bathroom, room not overcrowded, walking distance to restaurants and supermarkets, parking on street infront of the hostel. Would definitly book this place again!

Just ideal- Brett was a very welcoming and friendly host! The kitchen was well-equipped, beds comfy and nice common rooms! Free parking and a good location. Brett helped me with questions I had about the area/exploring. Would stay again! :))

Comfy rooms with lot of space

Cockroach in the kitchen. The sink for the bathroom is in the same room with the shower, so if someone is showering you can't wash your hands after pooping.
