Quail Cottage - Quaint, Cosy, Peaceful and Private
La cabaña está cerca de la escena artística de Coromandel, restaurantes, pubs, tiendas de artesanía, atracciones locales y vistas de la costa. La cabaña tipo cabaña del Gold Prospector de dos habitaciones está completamente separada de la casa principal del anfitrión y está protegida con olivos y árboles. Fuera de la cabaña encontrará un pequeño porche con algunos asientos y una mesa de picnic al aire libre con vistas al huerto, lo que lo convierte en un excelente lugar para ver la vida de las aves de la región mientras la cena se cocina en la barbacoa.
La propiedad cuenta con un amplio acceso de entrada a la cabaña y la parte inferior del jardín privado y huerto, lo que lo convierte en la base ideal para explorar esta hermosa región superior de la península de Coromandel.

Quirky quaint cottage, small but well provisioned. Outdoor bathroom was fine for us but would be pretty brisk in cold or wet weather. Pleasant and accommodating host. Private and close to everything.

I liked the cottage it was cute and comfortable. There was very limited wifi and I did not enjoy having to go outside to the outdoor seating to get wifi.
I wasn’t aware the toilet and shower were outside. I wasn’t too happy about that. Overall it was a comfortable stay. Best sleep had in all holidays awww bed and pillows were awesome 👏
Shane was a great host and made sure we had beautiful flowers in our room upon arrival.

Excellent stay for a single or couple. Very quiet semi rural, private at back of property. Only a few minutes to town and great restaurants. Main cottage perfectly adequate. Detached toilet and shower is fun and ok but might not suit the more sensitive or private person.

Cosy cottage farm atmosphere
Neat little cottage nestled amongst the trees. Stayed in Autumn so did feel the cold!! Would be fabulous in the summertime however, had a lovely time and the host was very accommodating.

Lovely setting
A lovely quirky historic cottage in a quiet semi-rural setting, a short pedal bike ride from the main township, that ideally suited my needs for a quiet relaxing holiday. Shane is a good host, respectful of one's privacy. There were however a few surprises like the electrics - you can only have one appliance working at a time (rather worrying), the door that has open air to all the elements and the outdoor toilet and bathroom, which is lovely on sunny days, but not so much on wet. The old camper in me was fine with it, I just would have liked to have been aware prior to making my booking. Regardless, I had a lovely stay and enjoyed exploring the area.

Thoughtfully appointed antique miner's cottage set in a restful garden and orchard. Shane was a great host. Tidy shower and toilet 10 steps from cottage. We enjoyed our stay.

Country Charm
Charming heritage cottage set in peaceful orchard not far from town. Host is very hospitable and helpful. A slight drawback for us was the outside bathroom and toilet, as I have difficulty walking at the moment. Otherwise, very pleasant.

Quiet, lovely stay
After 2 weeks of touring about the North Island I can say without hesitation that Shane’s bach is easily the most pleasant. Start with Shane; welcoming, engaging, knolwdagee, the perfect host. The grounds are simply wonderful, full of life. And the Bach itself is a quaint and comfortable place to stay. Really cannot recommend it more sincerely.

Quaint Cottage is a true delight
This wee miners' cottage is just a delight! Perfect for the two of us to base ourselves for a few nights. Great location, and totally private and quiet. Shane is a wonderful host. If you want a few days away from all the stresses of reality this is the place for you.

Shane looked after us really well. We had a great stay. The cottage had the essentials and was exactly as described . Close to historical Coromandel Town and tucked away in a lovely secluded well maintained garden. We would definitely recommend to others.

The garden is fabulous!
The garden is fabulous!! We enjoyed snoozing away the afternoon on the loungers under the shade of the mature trees. Absolute bliss and very private which was wonderful. The cottage itself was cute and well appointed. It was a really relaxing stay for us. The only drawback was that the toilet and shower is in a separate block from the cottage (it's close, but outside none the less), but other than this minor detail the accommodation was perfect for our needs.

The property is quite unique and the host has maintained the rustic character of the cottage. If you want a cute and peaceful environment without the upmarket trimmings, this is ideal. Coming back from a days activities, this is the perfect spot to relax under the orchard trees on the loungers. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen had all the basics there plus coffee and tea provided. Thanks for a great stay. Would love to come back.

Location is wonderful, set in an orchard and you are free to wander through the gardens. Peaceful and plenty of birdlife, perfect for just 'watching the day'. Loved the bathroom!! You can feel the history of the cottage, which is warm and comfortable, decorated with pieces that you just keep discovering. Really appreciated having fresh flowers in the bedroom. Cooking facilities are basic but completely adequate - we had a great cook-up of fresh mussels.
