We had a great week while staying at this house. It’s a very short drive to the beach and boardwalk. The house is a great size for multiple families to stay at and the accessibility of a pool was awesome. The owner was great and when we had to call about something he took care of it right away. We would highly recommended staying here and would definitely book here again.

It was a very comfortable stay for 7 adults and 3 kids! The house was big, clean, and everything was in good working order. We enjoyed how nice and quiet the neighborhood was for morning walks, and only about 5 minutes drive to get to a wide range of restaurants and the beach! Dirk was very responsive from the start to the end of our stay! Highly recommend for a great vacation in Rehoboth!

We had a wonderful stay! The house was absolutely lovely and was stocked with plenty of dishes, silverware, pots and pans. The home is close to grocery stores, outlets and the beach so the location was top notch. Also The owner was very responsive and helpful when we contacted him (which was only once because he managed to think of every detail). The whole family can’t wait to come back!!

The house was in a great location right off of Coastal Highway and about 10 minutes to Rehoboth Beach. It is a large house with plenty of room and beds. It could use some upgrades and a deep cleaning.

We really enjoyed our time at the house! It was located in a great area with easy access to the beach via a short drive. We had three separate families, 2 grandparents, and about 7 kids in our group. The house was clean and had plenty of space for everyone! We will definitely be back!

The Glade
This was the second year we stayed at the glade. First, this place is beautiful. The front is nice but once you enter this house everyone just went WOW!!! Second, Dirk is a great person. He help us with any problem we had and got back to us very quickly. Finally, if anyone is looking for a beautiful house, super owner, and a place to just relax this is the place. We loved it!!!

Great Property!!
We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived to see just how large and open this property is!! We hosted our Thanksgiving dinner and we had plenty of space for everyone. We enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend this property to friends!!

Great Place For Family Vacation
My extended family and I rented this property for a week in June, and we had the best time. It’s a great location and the house itself has tons of great amenities, including a ping-pong table that our kids loved. Overall, a great place to stay and enjoy everything Rehoboth has to offer.

May 2021 Family Gathering
We wonderful stay. There was plenty of room for the 12 of us and then some. Dirk was a very gracious host. We rented several homes through VRBO over the last 3 years and Dirk is one of favorite host. The time we spent there was priceless. We arranged for the grandkids to come and stay since it was my fathers 84th birthday and he had not seen them in. over a year due to Covid. My father passed shortly after our trip but the memories and photos will be with us for a life time.

The area was lovely, quiet and centrally located to restaurants and outlets. The property was easy to locate, clean and spacious however, we had just one small issue with bugs in the basement bedroom.

August 2020 stay
Very open house. There was plenty of room for the entire family. We had three college kids, two under 10, my parents, and two couples. The house was very homely and comfortable. We chose this house based on the reviews and especially because of the ping pong table, pool table, ice hockey etc and it did not disappoint us. There was even a small keyboard setup in there and plenty of puzzles, doll house, etc for the kids. Location is awesome. Close to beach and close to Tanger outlets, both less than two miles. Metered parking at beach does not start till 10am so we could go for early morning walks at the beach without any parking hassle. We rented bikes and scooter and there are trails nearby. Dirk was very prompt in responding to any of our questions. Some minor things that can be improved - the top bunk bed In basement really creaks each time you move. The kitchen can do with more glasses and cups of smaller size. The screened porch needs to be cleaned little better by the cleaning crew (this was our favorite area). We spent lot of time here. House had vacuum so we did it ourselves. Overall it was a very pleasant experience staying in this house and the community and we will gladly recommend this to others.

Dirk's communication with us was excellent. He answered all of our questions quickly. The house was clean and well maintained. His instructions and rules of the road were clear and reasonable. Great location
Overall we enjoyed our stay at Grand Slam II. The close proximity to the beach is great. The house has plenty of space and check in was easy. Some pleasant surprises that were not described in the listing: a small toddler bed and futon in the master, a high chair and some toys for young kids. Also the check in packet specified there would only be an ironing board and we needed to bring an iron, turns out there was one there. If we knew those were available we might have packed differently.
There were a few issues that can be categorized as annoying, but may not bother others. We stayed at the end of the season so the housewares in the kitchen needed a review and refresh. For example the kitchen and dining room has seating for 11 or 12 but there were only 6 really heavy stoneware plates and 2 were chipped. Also there is an insufficient number of bowls and drinking glasses just a bunch of heavy stoneware mugs and specialty wine glasses. At first we tried to just wash all the dishes for every meal but there weren't enough plates, bowls and glasses once everyone in our group arrived (8 adults and 3 kids) so we gave up and bought disposables so we could have family meals. A trip to Target or HomeGoods could easily solve the problem. Also we had an issue trying to login to our own Netflix account on the main TV because of the parental lock on the Xfinity account. I understand the owner’s concern about sharing the code but the owner could have held my deposit longer to verify I didn't buy any pay per view items. Other beach homes we have rented in the past usually are stocked with some beach amenities for renters use so you don't have to rent or pack them (beach chairs, umbrella, beach cart and sand toys). A few of these extra beach amenities would be greatly appreciated by future renters.

Great experience!
This house was the perfect fit! Our family of 7 each had our own private area. The house was much larger than we expected. We had a great time using the game room downstairs. The screened in back patio got lots of use, it was very relaxing because the furniture was comfy and the neighborhood was very quiet! The short drive to town was not bad either, two family members rode bikes back and forth. It was depressing having to leave so we will definitely be back! Thank you!

A Lovely Family Vacation
I want to thank Dirk (owner) for a lovely week at Rehoboth. His communication was great and readily responded to any questions we had.
My family (ages 1.5 to 70) recently stayed at Grand Slam House II for a week and had a great time. The house was great with ample room for my family, my parents, and the families of my 2 sisters. The location is a reasonable bike ride to downtown Rehoboth, and a fairly easy drive. The kids loved all the space in the basement and the big bedroom that they could share. The screened in back porch offered a nice place to sit and sip coffee or read. The house is also an easy 1/4 mile walk to the community pool.
Everything was cleaned and ready for us when we arrived. Things were a little dusty under the beds and couches, and the process for flipping the pool table/air hockey table was a little tricky. But those were minor issues.
One tip: If your group includes a light sleeper or someone who goes to bed early, I'd recommend they stay in the upstairs bedroom. The 1st floor master suite is right next to the living room area and if there are people talking or playing games some of that noise can be heard in the master.
