The prosecco on arrival, the food is fantastic, the location and the deer and wild boar.

Shared bathroom though it wasn't a problem at all.

I really loved the hosts, they were very friendly and attentive. The view from the accommodation is absolutely amazing, you’re high up in the mountains with a beautiful view of Lake Como which you can see from your room window. It was just so peaceful and quiet there, definitely an excellent spot if you want a chilled getaway. It also has lovely walking trails around the area. It was such a special place, I’ll definitely be back.

It is a little bit far out from the city (about 30 mins drive) but it was perfect for the type of accommodation I was looking for

Extraordinarily welcoming and friendly staff. They even arranged to help us drive our van down to the city the next day. Very nice walk to the top of Monte Boletto. Amazing view.

Wifi did not reach the rooms. Only available on the terrace.

The people of the hotel are very nice and friendly. The view of Milano from the room is great. Room was clean.

The hotel is very high up in the mountains, only accessible from a bad gravel road. Please be aware that this hotel is a 40min drive from Como centre.

Very basic breakfast, nothing exceptional there, gorgeous location inside the forest . the stuff was very helpful and went out of their way to pick me up from the near by town three times free of charge!

can't say I didn't like this because I should have done my research but totally unaccessible without a car. but I guess most people would take a car to such a place. also didn't like the room very much kind of old and rustic but maybe that's exactly what you're looking for (:

We had chosen this location spontaneously, with the intention of traveling from the Netherlands to our holiday destination. We therefore wanted to sit around Lake Como. What we had not taken into account is that this hotel is located far up in the mountains. And that's what made it so much fun! We had to drive a long way up, past cute villages, nice restaurants. And about the last building you see is this hotel. It has a beautiful terrace with phenomenal views over the valley. We also had this view from our room. We stayed there for two days. It was a very nice experience. Even though we had to share the bathroom (which we didn't realize when booking), it all went well. The host Mikki has gone out of his way to make us feel comfortable. We had a really nice time. The breakfast is really great. We could choose how we wanted our eggs, there is sweet, cold cuts and cheese and fresh fruit. We had dinner in the evening, which also tasted very good. From the hotel you can walk well, we took a long walk and enjoyed the beautiful views. Thanks Mikki!

You need to know that the drive from Como takes nearly 30 min

This was the most exciting stay of my life. Getting to the location was a true adventure... 10km in 45minutes.... if you are a weak driver - don't go there, you will get a panic attack or just leave the car and prefer to walk. But if you like adventures (like I do) - go ahead. 45 degrees hills, 180 degrees curves make you drive only on 1st or 2nd gear... sometimes no barriers next to the narrow forest roads. Absolute adventure! My friend had her eyes closed.... mine was open, just if you are wondering ;) When we got there... super friendly owner asked who the driver was. I said "me!". He gave me a jar of beer and said "drink! you deserved it" :))) and so the story started. If you want to experience Italian hospitality - go there. Those people are like a family after a few minutes. Super good food in their own restaurant (goat cheese, linguini with mushrooms, polenta ...yum!). The view.. omg the view from the top of the mountain - absolutely stunning. Well you will not experience anyting like you could in 4* hotel in como. This was absolutely an amazing stay, with friendly people, lots of good house wine, amazing food ;) Thank you for this beautiful experience. Love from Poland - Karolina & Izabela
