Absolutely everything!
The owners are very friendly and helpful.
Location was brilliant.
Room was clean and warm.
Bed was comfortable.
But best thing was absolutely superb breakfast, kept me going the whole day

The staff member was super lovely, welcoming and kind. The room was also great and bed super comfortable.
The only thing I would say about the property is the WiFi didn’t work in my room possibly because I was at the top of the property

Quaint 3 floor house presently under scaffolding.
Towels rough ( sun dried) bedsheets /pillows same not dry clean quality-
No reception to receive guests, the checkin gesture was missed( especially those coming early 8am to drop bag)

Great location with a lovely walk along the river to get to the city centre. Perfect room for one with a comfy bed, and they very kindly let me leave my bag after checkout so I didn't have to carry it around the city!

This place was clean, tidy, very friendly and helpful staff. With only a 5 minute walk to the city
Only thing that needs upgrading are the beds and pillows, they wasn’t the most comfortable

York is a wonderful town to visit.
We like walking so we were OK to walk a bit extra distance to get to this property.
The owner of the establishment has good communication going. We have asked for some plates and forks and thank you for providing them.
The room was on the upper floor and it was all set up for us - tea /coffee/hot chocolate.
The name of the room that I booked - King Deluxe Room had liitle relevance to the room I thought.

Our double bed dudnt allow us to have a good night rest. So had to sleep l9nger judt to eake up. The whole stay experienve was so spoilt by one action -"we were almost thrown out of our room. The check out announced at 10 am. And our taxi to the railway was ordered for 10.50 am
With no waiting room and no communal area to wait we were just sitting on the stairs waiting (raiming outside )
I would expect the owners would be more flexible with their strict policy.
That was a terrible stress in the morbing as a start of our long journey.
Personally I would not stay here again.

Great location, big room and bathroom, all clean.
Dark curtains or blinds missing. For that price, a small refrigerator in the room would be appropriate.

The weather! The room was uncomfortably hot. I would have preferred to have breakfast in a dining room rather than in our bedroom.
