The room we stayed in was beautiful and comfortable! The best part of our stay was the very kind hostess who made every effort to provide a nice stay! We needed to leave early and she provided lovely breakfast cakes for us to take with us. Wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy her hospitality.

Only wish the location had a view of the ocean, but the property was lovely.

The location was fabulous and the owners just incredibly helpful. Full of information and fascinating stories about Nervi. Owner even called restaurant for us to make a booking. Was made to feel so welcome. Room was beautiful in a quiet street. Everything so close. went on some great trails nearby and saw so much wildlife. Best stay ever x

Our hosts were delightful and couldn't do enough for us. They had many suggestions and recommendations to make our stay pleasant. The homemade breakfast goodies were a special treat. The location was handy to the train station and shops.

Nothing to complain about, but a small bar fridge in the room might have come in handy for our drinks and fruit.

Well appointed tastefully updated traditional city villa, set in a quiet barrier controlled cul de sac. Our room was consistent with a very good 3 star Italian hotel. The bed and pillows were excellent and we enjoyed breakfast. We parked right outside assisted by the owner and it felt very safe. We followed the owner’s advice for gelato and dinner.

Very Kind Staff.

Situated in a nice quiet part of Genoa. The small town was quiet but still lots of people enjoying the local wine bars etc. The town was beautiful with all the lights everywhere (not sure wether it's because it's Christmas). There is the promenade but sadly as much as i wanted to have a walk down there i was only there a long weekend so went to Genoa and portofino and santa margherita instead on the train (Station being around a 5 min walk from the property) The property was gorgeous, very typical Italian. I think it has 5 guestrooms. Everything you need for a pleasant stay. Rooms cleaned everyday and the hosts ensured everything was perfect for you. Breakfast consisted of home made cakes, tea, coffee, espresso, cereals, yoghurt, fruit, and would gladly knock up an omlette for you etc..also great at giving you local advice and nothing too much trouble for them both. The grounds were beautiful with lemon trees and olive trees growing around the property. I would definitely stay there again.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is travelling to Genoa region. The hosts were lovely and very helpful, room was cosy and the bed was comfortable, breakfast was very good as well. The villa is a short walk from the train station, so you can easily get around the coast. Nervi is a lovely little town which we enjoyed exploring too. Thank you for hosting us!

First and foremost, the owners were extremely welcoming. They gave us advice on where we might eat. Breakfast was generous with plenty to eat and the host was happy to provide fresh options.

I loved the location of Villa Moderna. Nervi is a lovely suburb of Genoa, with easy access to the centre and the feel of a small town. All services are accessible along the main road and there are beautiful parks and a long walkway along the water. Breakfast is plentiful and homemade every morning. Hosts, Seloua and Matteo are both charming and friendly. They both speak English and are happy to share recommendations for their town. The room was spacious and nicely decorated, the bed comfortable and the bathroom large and bright.

The hosts were great and very well informed about the town we stayed in. They gave excellent advices on where to go for food, sightseeing and swimming. In generall our stay felt very much like a home in another country and we were impressed by the generosity of the hosts.

The best part - the hosts. What a wonderfully engaging, enthusiastic fabulously Italian couple! A pleasure to stay at a Locanda like they used to be. A place where hosts share their comfortable homes and cooking and experiences, for a small return, and everyone’s happy. Bravi, Bravi!!

one of the best accomodation I've ever stayed in ! definitely worth of 10 points in booking.com score. If it was possible to give 11 points, I would give it and if we are staying in Liguria region we will stay here again. Villa Moderna is very nice villa in italian style with only few guest rooms, so it's very quiet "inside" as well as "outside" because it is located in private street closed by ramp (no traffic outside). This street is completely "green", because there are nice gradens everywhere around. Outlook from the window is also into a garden. However the best thing was not only the villa itself, but the owners !!! they are super perfect and they do anything for their guests. I felt like they were my family... Location is great, it's only 5 minutes walk from train station Genova-Nervi and trains to Cinque Terre towns run every 15 - 20 minutes from here. Genova city is also not far away. Advice - buy train tickes online, ticket machine in this staytion was broken all the time we were there...

Not lot to say The hosts are exceptionally great. Really kind people and helpful. Service largely over anyone expectations. The breakfast is : what you want, you get. Just ask. One nice thing unexpected : a garage place for the car. And free of service !!

Maybe the TV is too small...but are you there to watch TV ?
