Wonderful setting in a very well-kept garden with amazing flora & fauna. Staff extremely helpful. Loved the room and the pool.
Prices at restaurant a little on the high side, but nice food.

Across the street from Sansa airlines. A 30 minute plane ride to San Jose.

Food at the restaurant wasn’t the best

The environment, decor, staff, food, and location were all great. The dinner was one of the best meals we had during our vacation. The property is beautiful and gives you ample opportunity to see wildlife without leaving the hotel.
We had loud neighbors, possibly thin walls
10.0
The staff were friendly and amazing.
The room was clean, large, and comfortable.
The property grounds were beautiful with lovely gardens, trees, and a big pool.
The restaurant had delicious food and breakfast was included.
Nothing. I liked everything.

The room was clean, with a very big bathroom. The property had a pool and forest of its own where we walked both in the late afternoon and in the morning. We saw monkeys, butterflies, owls, birds, lizards, iguanas during our stay. My mother-in-law who loves nature and creatures especially enjoyed them. All the staff were super helpful and friendly. The food was also very good.
We took a national park tour with the company that that hotel contracted with. The tour itself was good, in a sense that we got to see many animals, but I felt that it could have been better with other companies. Our group was bigger than groups run by other companies, and other guides seemed to tell more stories than ours did.

The personnel was really friendly and nice. They showed that they are there to help. I had a great experience with them and the place is awesome.

the location was good. 15 min away from Manuel Antonio and 1hr away from Uvita and beautiful waterfalls. it was clean and staff where nice.
Pool said to close at 7 but at 6pm it seemed closed. there were no lights by the pool at all so people can enjoy it when it gets dark.

inclusion of breakfast was nice. breakfast selection was also very good. staff super helpful and kind. room was spacious and comfortable.

Beautiful setting, gorgeous plants and a wonderful pool.
not a thing

The hotel has a really nice pool and it’s possible to go ziplining within the property. The garden is amazing and the view from the restaurant is great too. They offer shuttle service to Manuel Antonio but only twice per day (and they were late by half an hour when they picked us up)
Breakfast selection wasn’t too broad, got boring after 1 night already. Staff was not speaking English and it happened to us multiple times that instead of trying to understand our needs they just said they don’t have it. The restaurant wasn’t great, high prices compared to the service and food quality.

Everything is good and simple. Parking included. Restaurant is not the top one but definitely not bad, it also serves nice breakfast.
I was living in room 101 which is close to the road - so there is poor noise cancellation from the passing cars.

beautifully maintained grounds, staff was exceptionally helpful, very clean

as described on the road with a pool.
The manager gave us a twin room and we had booked an apartment. The manager said we had two choices to stay or leave. We couldn’t fit in one room and it was not what we had booked but she explained that someone had booked our room for longer so that was better for them. This was NYE and with two young children. Very poor customer service and attitude.
Property was on a large main road and loud music by the pool and different music in the bar next door. Not for us!
7.0
The spacious room and the environment
Breakfast options were very limited and the overall quality of the meals were not exceptional (especially at dinner).
A point to improve would be to offer buffet at breakfast.

Beautiful property, bed was comfy, bathroom was clean, showers were hot, cool jungle area with monkeys in the backyard
Wifi didn't work in our rooms, couldn't go in the common areas after 10pm to use wifi. Extremely frustrating when trying to work remote and couldn't attend morning meetings

The staff is so so kind. Down south it became rare so thank you!!
Breakfast was fine.

big rooms. swimming pool. clean
1. we had no hot water in our room and it wasn’t fixed the 2nd day of our stay
2. too noisy - close to the road
3- we can hear from one room to the other
4. last morning breakfast was not a buffet as there were not enough guests and my son let the breakfast hungry. I had to stop and buy him something as they wouldn’t add anything.

it was gorgeous, well kept, in a great location. They accommodated us when we had to book something last second due to us not being able to physically get to our original place to stay. 13/10 would recommend & we will be staying here again!

Rio top! just stayed for one night. it was perfect

The hotel is located in beautiful tropical gardens with many mature trees and colourful flowers. A large tropical forest is accessable from the gardens via a hanging bridge.
The room was huge with a large shower area and effective air conditioning unit
The hotel is located on the main highway, which means that you may have to rely on a taxi to visit Quepos and Manuel Antonio NP although there are 3 shuttle buses a day.

Loved the pool and the grounds, they were well kept and beautiful. The location was out of the fray near the national park, very pleasant and quiet. Many excursions were offered and the walking trail was very nice
Not having a car, we depended on the transportation provided by the hotel into the town and national park area. They don't run the transportation very often and it was pretty difficult to arrange. Also they often made out of the way pickups on the way, so you couldn't depend on getting to the park on time.
We had to get a cab a few times instead of waiting.

The gardens and the grounds were very nice lots of nature around you and a trail which you can follow. A good pool area too
The food was poor. Breakfast could have been a lot better. And the pool on the Sunday was really busy with too many people who were on day passes

all the hotel is ok, very modest, the pool is nice, We didn t try the restaurant because we were in a bad mood with the hotel
Booking double my reservation on this hotel, ask me to repeat the reservation and in the software something went wrong. Two reservations for the same 3 days, with the same names, at the same hour, paid with the same card. As a normal guest i ask the lady to cancel one of the reservation that i made 10 hours later, and she look to me like, i have to speak with the owner. As soon as she told me this i went to the parking lot to see if it was full the hotel, and it was empty so i didn´t make a loss for the hotel. The hotel was 10% capacity. The solution by phone was: or we keep one day of that double reservation or we take you the all days , but like (sicário voice). I just feel an ATM machine with legs. In the end i stay three nights and pay four. I ask to take the fourth night because it was paid, but they kick me out. So if you choose to stay in this hotel dont make a mistake because they will charge you.

This is a lovely little oasis, with a great pool area, from where we saw Maccaws and lots of other birds. We also saw wild pigs from the breakfast area, humming birds right outside our room and our friends even saw an otter! The food was nice, although the atmosphere in the restaurant could do with a little attention - they can't add more people but lower lighting and a little music would really make a big difference. The staff were really helpful, and we organised our tour to Manuel Antonio from here, and it all went smoothly. We really enjoyed a day just chilling out by the pool, watching birds and getting some sun. It is a little way out of town, but we had a car so this was no problem for us, and they do run shuttles. We really liked being away from the hustle and bustle and driving in for dinner - the dancing crocodiles restaurant was brilliant (sunset, great food, seemed pricey but then so good it actually wasn't!). We also turned down a dirt road heading for a bar called "Ronnie's", stopped at the place before it and had an absolutely stunning sunset view and super cheap, and very good food. Not sure of the name of that one! (we call it "not Ronnie's")
La Foresta does sit on a busy road, and unfortunately you can hear it from the property, but it didn't disturb our sleep at all, or our time relaxing by the pool, and it did make it very convenient for getting around. I was worried about the road before arriving, but on balance I didn't find it an issue, and the beauty of the place more than made up for it (plus you definitely couldn't hear the road over the sound of the amazing Macaws who came and had a domestic right by breakfast one morning! We watched them for ages and it was great fun!)
There weren't a lot of people staying, and so they closed the bar area in the evenings. As mentioned above the restaurant didn't have any atmosphere, so on one occasion we bought wine from the restaurant and just took it to sit at the tables in the bar, and no-one seemed to mind. Perhaps if they mentioned this as an option - or just left some music playing in the bar and a sign saying "Please order drinks from the restaurant" they would get more business in the evenings. I also think $10 for a cocktail was a bit steep, especially once we started traveling around a bit more and were able to compare to prices at other places.

The facilities were well maintained and the grounds were nicely landscaped.
Friendly staff eager to help.
Having the nature preserve nearby was nice.
The hotel is a bit out of the way and close to a very busy road with loud traffic.
Our cabin was too close to the road and noise was an issue at night. Better windows would help.
