Central Location. Welcomed on arrival. Bed comfortable. Bathroom clean and shower very good.
Coffee cups in room were dirty. Room was very hot, unable to keep window open due to traffic noise.
4.1
Clean and convenient for all local amenities
4.1
The room that we stayed in was very clean and spacious, well decorated and very comfortable. The staff were lovely and always happy to help. And the food was amazing! We will definitely be coming back and recommending to friends and family.
There was nothing not to like.
4.1
Very nice room
We couldn't get in unrill 3pm , surely the bar should have been open to keep warm?
To get access to our room and dining room it was via a main road including breakfast.
We got locked out stood on the main road due faulty lock ( proprietors admittance)
Never mentioned this but my wife is blind , thus not conviniant
Ps breakfast was awful.
4.1
Room was lovely, breakfast was fabulous and staff were great
Turning the shower on wasn’t easy, they need to fit a new part rather than expect guests to manage.
4.1
Greeted by Tom very polite and showed us to the room told us about meals and times met Natalie at breakfast very polite and friendly and couldn't do enough for us
Nothing very thing ok

Comfortable bed. Okay shower room. Nice and warm. Staff very friendly.
TV didn't work. They tried to repair it but to no avail. No parking on site.

Location was great
Hotel dirty rooms
Not cleaned , no hot water in bathroom beds was dirty sheet looked like hadn’t been changed in ages
Breakfast was ok but not worth the wait the breakfast hours 8am -10pm take 40mins for your breakfast to be cooked and was only 4 of us in the bar for breakfast every morning ,
Very poor I would avoid hotel as there are better in the area for less money
4.1
Good location relative to Railway Station and town, quiet, clean
Slight musty smell in room

Great breakfast
Difficult to fill kettle from the tap

The Breakfast was very good and a little different from the usual "cooked breakfast", both the meat and vegi options.
Cannot think of anything.
4.1
The room itself was lovely and clean, only downfall was the location as it’s right on a main road and there’s no parking so you have a good 7-8 minute walk from the nearest car park. It’s not far from the town centre though
No parking.
Food was terrible in all honesty but I think the woman was on her own cooking, cleaning, hosting and making the drinks. Food was cold, undercooked, missing sausage on the breakfast and we waited around 35 minutes for it as wel as a good 15 minutes for a drink. I didn’t complain as the lady was lovely and did ask if I would like something else instead when she could see I wasn’t eating it. The coffee was very nice though and it was a lovely place to sit for a coffee and once again the staff were lovely albeit very busy.

Perfect as always, room was perfect and breakfast was amazing! Good coffee and I'm very fussy with coffee.

Breakfast not earlier enough, on booking .com not updated enough with new name and photos a little hard to find due to this.

Near to everything. Good vibe. Modern, comfortable.

Exceptionally convenient for anyone travelling by train as I was. I got off a train, dropped off my bag at the "Alb" and was back on another train within 13 minutes!
All four staff I spoke to were exceptionally friendly.
The room was very comfortable- it even had a good light for reading in bed, which is very uncommon.!
The shower controls were quite stiff - might be a challenge for anyone with arthritic hands.
4.1
Great location, welcoming staff, close to railway station, room was comfortable, clean and spacious, the breakfast was spot on, presentation and quality to a high standard, would definitely recommend.
Very happy all round, compared to other properties we have stayed in, at the same quality, I would say it was overpriced.
4.1
I had no time for breakfast - a very packed itinerary ! I had a white wine on arrival, which was served in a chilled glass - excellent!
The hotel is in an excellent position the railway station and bus stations are very near. Everywhere within the town / horse shoe of the Severn’s loop is within easy walking distance .
There is no designated parking and driving in Shrewsbury is not a thrilling experience. But there is great parking just over the bridge in Frankwell, a few moments’ walk away.

It was in a good location for going to the theatre which is why I went
It was a little pricey for what it was

Breakfast with Paul was the highlight. Cool soulful music and bottomless plunger coffee
4.1
The location was excellent - close to the performing arts centre, lots of restaurants and the old town.
The room had a musty and slightly “old urine” smell. There was no way to keep the window open.

We were very happy with our stay at The Alb. It is literally just around the corner from the train station and right at the heart of the city for doing activities. As a family, we had the quadruple room, which was more like a small flat compromised of 2 separate bedrooms and the bathroom, so we had privacy from our child, which was nice. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The inclusive breakfast in the morning was delicious. We'd definitely stay again if travelling through Shrewsbury.
The only thing that was difficult was the noise of traffic, which woke us up as we were trying to sleep just a bit, as The Alb is on a main road. This is not The Alb's fault. We live in a house not on a main road, so we're just not used to hearing traffic. We'd have the same issue anywhere on a main road. My son said he didn't notice and slept through, so I think this one point probably just depends on the traveller and what they are used to and how heavy they sleep.
4.1
location, very comfortable bed and plenty of tea and coffee
bedroom overlooked beer garden, but wasn’t a major problem as garden closed at 9:30 pm. shower head needs a clean

Great staff helped us check in. Two lovely large double beds in one apartment was good value.
Can get noisy near road and revellers but this was anticipated.

Location was great 2 minutes from the town centre. Room was clean tidy and great value.
Nothing

great little 2 bed apartment. comfy beds.
the shower was interesting - freezing cold or boiling hot and sprayed across the bathroom
4.1
Breakfast great, bedroom had everything we needed for a one night stay. Good blackout curtains.
TV didn’t work, there was another which didn’t work either. The amount of narrow stairs to get to our room was a challenge for two elderly folk. We did wonder if there was any heating.
4.1
Everything was fine and very good value for money

I didn't need much, just a clean room and a bed, but this place was great. Loved having our own space (The room was detached from the hotel with it's own front door).
