Small, and not that comfortable

A lovely hotel in a very convenient location. The staff, the facilities were very good. I loved the rooftop pool and the latte they served.

One morning we arrived 15 mins before breakfast closing. They already packed up the food and they started a team meeting in the middle of the breakfast area where some other people were still having breakfast. I think it was unprofessional and not respectful. The wifi was not working well.

We had to move rooms 2 times in 3 nights stay. The metro is noisy specially during the night if you are on the lower floors. This we did not expect in a 5 start hotel.

The staff were so friendly and helpful from the minute I arrived. The bed and linen was some of the best I’ve experienced and had a wonderful nights sleep.

Absolutely great stay in this hotel! Extremely helpful and friendly staff. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family. The staff did everything they could to help us. One morning, I was coming back from the gym and the lady behind the counter even jumped from her counter to the backroom to give me an extra bottle of water. Unseen helpful staff. Thanks for the great stay everybody!

Location, walking distance to all attractions within Gothic Quarter. Rooftop pool with nice views.

Noise outside of hotel, nil noise insulation. Bath shower. Quality of toiletries provided. Only 1 bath robe despite a room booked for 2 adults. Rooftop pool lacks privacy as non-guests can dine at the Sky Bar whilst you are in the pool.

We had an amazing breakfast in the room and the staff were so extremely helpful, meeting all of our questions and expectations and helping us with everything we needed assistance with!

Perfect location - staff superb and very helpful.

One tiny point was that the bedrooms didn’t have windows to open, but there was sufficient air con when the keycard was in place.

Best location and great staff, very welcoming and helpful with all our questions. Nice bar with good service. Roof top bar has the most wondeful view over the city. Beautiful part of Barcelona, with many restaurants and good shopping apart from all the cultural values.

Claiming to be a 5star 'Grand' Hotel raises some expectations. Among them is not - listening to the rumbling of the metro trains from underneath the building ( room on the 2nd floor) having to enforce the repair of the sliding glass door to the bathroom so it actually is possible to close it, the reconnection of the TV and the very audible"operation" of the sewer pipe from above somewhere behind the wall near the entrance to the room The photos on booking do not give the correct impression of the rooms - someone at reception told me i am wrong to expect to see that armchair on the photo of the room i booked - the chair was important because it indicated space that is not there . The rooms are much darker than the photos might indicate because the adjacent building is 3-4 m away only I wish i had seen on the photos those glass doors between bedroom and bathroom - i would have saved myself that disappointment . glass doors are ok as separation if one travels alone. Otherwise they are an inconvenience
