Wonderful place

The unit is located in a pedestrian only area. Once we met up with Emilia, she walked us to the apartment and then walked with us to where we had left the car and showed us where to find parking for our car. She was also available to answer our questions. One caution to light sleepers. This unit is in a very active pedestrian area. At night, there was music playing and plenty of street noise that could be heard from the one bedroom. The one other issue was the mold growing on the walls and ceiling above the shower in the one bedroom. These are 12-15 foot ceilings but anyone sensitive to mold may have a problem. Despite these issues, we had a great time in Ortigia.

I stayed alone but was traveling with friends - this flat was located perfectly for all my needs - I would stay again without hesitation. The host was one of the best I’ve ever had

Loved the apartment! Nice decor. Clean & comfy. Emilia was 10/10 on all questions and gave great food recommendations. The only drawback was that because of the pigeon droppings, we couldn’t sit out on the balconies.

This is a lovely apartment in the heart of Ortigia. We were met by the Property Manager who helped us to find the local parking garage and showed us the property and gave us some local recommendations. The common area is quite small but perfect for friends travelling together as the bedrooms are on each side of the common area so it gives you privacy. We were there on a holiday weekend so it was a little noisy but I would definitely book again.

The property was centrally located and close to everything in Ortigia. The street below the apartment is awash with dining options. During the day, the street noise is relatively low, but it can be quite noisy at night....as late as 3:00 AM. The apartment is very large and well decorated...quite comfortable. The only negative is the lack of water hot enough to clean dished without supplementing it with boiling water from the kettle. The host was very communicative and was able to help us if needed. We would highly recommend this apartment.

Live like a local! You can't get a better location. Entertaining street theatre viewing from the two balconies, super high ceilings, fully stocked kitchen, oversized bathrooms, and a wonderful property manager. One of the best places we've stayed. Sad to leave.

L'appartement est superbe , bien agencé , chaque chambre avec son sanitaire complet est très appréciable. Au coeur du centre historique ( Ortigia est magnifique ) , tout est à proximité , nous avons passé un excellent séjour. Le seul petit bémol , il y a des travaux de rénovation de bâtiments tout prés de la chambre donnant sur la rue et le matin les ouvriers commencent un peu trop tôt . Emilia nous a très bien accueillis , elle nous a donné quelques conseils pratiques et nous la remercions vivement

Well located, beautiful, comfortable

Let’s start with Emilia ... excellent customer service! She provided area travel information ... and went above and beyond helping us track down our lost luggage. The apartment was spacious, bed was comfortable and the kitchen adequately equipped. In regards to location, the apartment was steps from the Piazza Duomo, excellent restaurants and shops. Looking forward to returning.

location was great but the apartment was not as comfortable as we had hoped (bathroom and bed?).... 4 of 5 is fair...

We had a really great vacation in Ortigia and the apartment. Everything was as described. The apartment is very big and lies in a small street near the Dome. We had a very good conversation prior as well as during the stay. Emilia took care of everything and arranged the parking place for us, which was also very comfortable and near the apartment. In the same street is a small supermarket, which opens at 7 (also on Sundays). We stayed for two weeks but would loved to stay much longer. It was a real pleasure. Thank you very much.

Excellent stay marred only by a half day loss of water pressure on the island due to wildfires. Also the shower in our bedroom was directly observable and adjacent to the bedroom which some would find perturbing.

The apartment was in a great location and was very comfortable. Our host was very responsive in resolving a couple of issues that arose early on. Unfortunately an adjacent building is being renovated which caused some noise during the day, but it wasn't a big problem for us. We really enjoyed our stay there.

The apartment was ideal in terms of location and size.The two large bedrooms are separated by the living area - and each has a huge en-suite.The decor is eclectic - Tania has gone to a lot of effort to make her apartment unique and very attractive.The balconies are tiny - but fine for sipping a drink and watching people pass by below. The pedestrian street is very busy at all hours.The bedroom at the back of the apartment is lovely and quiet but has no outlook. The red bedroom gets some street noise despite the double glazing so light sleepers be aware!We loved the daily produce markets and cooked one night in the apartment. The kitchen equipment is a bit basic - maybe guests are more inclined to eat in the many local restaurants.The customer service we received from first enquire to checkout was flawless - both Tania and Emilia were super-responsive to every request.Unfortunately building works continue next door - but of course this is beyond control!We would certainly recommend this apartment.

The only negative was the construction next door, which is temporary, but perhaps should be noted in the property description. In all, we had a very pleasant stay and would recommend this property.

The apartment has a dramatic decor that is fun to experience. For example bas relief artwork of guernica over one the beds, four poster with gold tasselled chandelier reflected in mirror, tasteful black and white kitchen cupboards. There was a nice package of coffee pods for the machine, some chocolates and muffins for first breakfast.Great location in Ortigia, the old part of Syracuse, and in the centre of everything. Close to some amazing restaurants. We loved Ortigia. Great place to visit!The apartment is great for 2 couples since the bedrooms are separated by the living room and each has their own en-suite bathroom. Only one flight of stairs up. We would have appreciated a microwave and dishwasher as there seems to be space for that. Good internet. Good showers. Emilia and Tania were very responsive via the VRBO / HomeAway website. They also reserved parking close by which which was really helpful. Marcello met us near the Duomo (we were lost) and guided us to find the parking and walked with us and our luggage to the apartment. He also gave us some good tips. Great introduction to Syracuse!Lost a star because we were not advised of noisy construction (jackhammering from 8 am until after 3 pm every day). Had we known ahead of time we would have chosen one if our other apartment options. In addition to the noise and dust, the construction scaffolding and hoarding went right up against two of the balconies /sets of French doors in kitchen/living room meaning you couldn’t open the French doors at all due to noise, dust and therefore we had no view at all. The other two French doors could be opened but were in the bedrooms so didn’t help regarding the living area. When a couple of our friends showed up unexpectedly the owner was very accommodating us with extra towels, etc., and we were able to come with an equitable solution all around.A really enjoyable stay.

The apartment is just perfect for a visit to Siricusa. It is located in the center of Ortigia and close to everything. The facilities are just wonderful. The bedrooms are generous in size and everything works well. Emilia is a real asset. Great communicator and very pleasant.

This is a beautiful apartment that is comfortable and quite large and one of the best areas of or Ortigia. The bedrooms are large and the bathrooms have been beautifully remodeled. There is adequate closet space. The centrally located living room is comfortable and bright. Having a washing machine is incredibly beneficial and a great convenience when traveling in B&Bs. The kitchen is nice but the cooking utensils are limited so be prepared to improvise if you are cooking meal there. The apartment has a fairly large refrigerator which is a huge plus also.

Literally 20 steps from Piazza Archimede and about 50 steps from the Duomo. We walked everywhere. Great Restaurants, Ice cream stores, cafes... everything. It gets a little noisy at night. It was ok with us. I could have given 5 stars if the WiFi stopped working the night before leaving and one of the AC started leaking. I’m sure they fixed everything right after we left. Overall a great place and I recommend it.
