Beautiful Adirondack Home on Great Sacandaga Lake with Private Lakefront

I originally picked this home because of the access to the lake. We did not have to cross south shore road. Once we arrived I realized this home was much more than that! Darren and Kim truly love this home and have poured their heart and soul into it, and it shows! I also rate a home by the beds, don't worry if you do too, the mattresses are super comfortable and the furnishings are top notch. Bring a dish towel though, we just brought the shower and beach towels and we missed this one. I hate to waste so many paper towels. I would recommend this home to you and anyone who asked about staying at the lake.
Enjoy the dock! We spent many hours there just staring at the beautiful view and swimming in the cleanest lake water I've ever seen! The neighbors are also very nice and easy to talk to when you see them. Enjoy your stay here, you won't be sorry you booked with Darren and Kim.

We wanted a quiet family vacation on a lake and that’s exactly what we got. The house was the epitome of a lake house: wood-paneled walls, rustic furniture, and spectacular views of the lake. We were a family of 5, with children aged 7 to 11.
The detached garage had been converted to a game room. The kids enjoyed playing ping-pong and air hockey in that area. They also enjoyed the books and board games left in the house. The backyard was large, with plenty of room for kite-flying, a campfire at night, or just watching the lake. The deck was an adequate size with a table with umbrella, a couch, and even a hot tub.
The master bedroom was large. One of the bedrooms had a bunk. They were appropriate sizes for kids’ bedrooms. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, a coffee maker, toaster, and utensils. The grill outside was useful as well. All of the rooms were very clean and felt new.
There were two window air conditioners, one on each floor. Most days, it was temperate with a breeze and cool at night. It could get warm, though, in the middle of the day.
All the bedrooms had sheets, but no pillows. There were no towels in the house, nor were there bathmats. You should bring bath towels, hand towels for the bathrooms, bathmats, and dish towels for the kitchen.
Unlike Lake George, the town of Hadley is not very touristy. In fact, it is a page out of the past. There are virtually no stores. Restaurants are open only some days of the week and close early. The road to the house is an unpaved path. For dinner many nights, we went across the bridge to Northville. The main street has a pizza restaurant, an ice cream place, and a general store.
We had a wonderful time at the house. The kids are already asking when we can go back!

Great property. Fantastic spot on the lake, very fun game room in the garage. The yard is huge, there is a sand beach area at the shore that my kids loved. The kayaks were a big hit. The house was very clean, with great views. Would definitely stay here again.

Look elsewhere
The house and property were very nice and as described, however there were some big negatives that everyone should be aware of. There are security cameras on the house so that you can be watched, the beach area was rocky, the water was rough and tough for swimming, and the owners have too many rules. The owners also withheld a portion of my security deposit even after I have proof that there was a preexisting condition. I feel that this rental is overpriced and not worth it due to the negative conditions experienced.

The home was very clean, beds were comfy, and location on the lake couldn’t be beat! The home owners were very responsive when we had questions and they genuinely wanted to make sure we had a great stay. The home is updated and the kitchen and bathrooms were great. We rented a pontoon for the week and the private dock was perfect for our needs. The lake is gorgeous, clean, and quiet. The garage game room was awesome when it was a little rainy, too. We had such a great family week and hope to return again!

Life changing vacation
The property was stunning and peaceful, just as advertised. It was our first lake-house vacation and was literally game changing for us. It turned us into lake people who have literally been looking ever since for a home of our own. But the owners set a high bar! Having stayed at other vacation homes, this was by far the most cared-for and well-stocked home we've experienced. And the owners were helpful and responsive before and during our stay. We loved every minute!

Beautifully decorated home in the scenic Adirondacks
Spacoius and clean home. The decor was so beautiful and fitting for a week on the lake. The game room was great for the kids on the rainy days. The lake was very clean and refreshing . We were in it every day. Great place to really get away and relax.

Lovely Home and Beautiful View of the Lake
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful Adirondack themed home. We enjoyed all of the comforts of home in a beautiful setting. The beach was great, the yard was spacious, and the view was lovely, especially from the master bedroom. We were able to bring our boat and the launch was fairly close. We also all enjoyed the game room, especially on the one rainy day during our trip.This is a great place for a family vacation and we look forward to our next stay!

Perfect!
This beautiful home on the lake was exactly what we were looking for. Swimming, kayaking, fishing off the dock, cooking hot dogs and s’mores over the fire, and just enjoying the peace and beauty of the surroundings made for an unforgettable trip. We’re already planning for next year!

the house was beautiful. and all facilities worked properly.
the people said there were air conditioners in all rooms. Still looking for them. Luckily it was cool enough that we didn't miss them. They said there were 2 and half baths there were only 2. we are 5 70s plus men, luckily we didn't have a problem toiling and bathing as we have been friends for 50 yrs.

We all had a wonderful relaxing weekend. Very comfortable and roomy home. I would definitely recommend this vacation to others!
