Amazing stay at Positano with see view

Nothing really

The location was great. Close to the bottom of Positano so did not have to bus it around. We stayed in the apartment and it was very spacious and very clean.

Loved the view and location of this place. Plus the staff were super helpful!

Positano is an expensive city

Our stay at Alcione couldn’t have been better! Staff is so friendly and helpful. The view is out of this world. There’s almost no reason to leave. You have the most beautiful view right from your balcony. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The views from the terrace were beautiful and the reason for choosing this hotel.

The hotel is not easy to access on foot which is the only option when arriving from the ferry. Luggage cannot be easily transported through the streets so it was €40 to take the luggage to the hotel. The entrance to the hotel was not welcoming and neither were the staff. It was a strange set up. Very basic upon arrival. You are paying the inflated prices for the views only. Our breakfast was delivered to the room and before you had time to finish it they were knocking at the door asking to take your plates away. I felt rushed and we wanted to feel relaxed after spending over £2000 on one nights stay. At checkout the staff were quite abrupt and after looking forward to staying here I felt disappointed by the service. The views were my reason for staying and they were nice it’s a shame the ambience was spoilt by the service.

Everything! The location is perfect - right in the centre of Positano, within easy walking distance of all shops, bars and restaurants. It’s a short 10 minute (up hill) walk from the port too which is great if arriving by ferry from another island. The staff were super friendly and helpful - showed us how to walk the Path of the Gods from the accommodation, helped us to book restaurants and went above and beyond to help us celebrate our anniversary - they decorated our room with petals and roses, it was gorgeous! The room balcony is just perfect too. It has a beautiful view, two comfy sun loungers and a table and chairs for breakfast al fresco which is delivered to your room in the morning. They’re also south facing meaning you get to see both sun rise and sun set and can sunbathe there all day.

This place is absolutely stunning, the views are Instagram worthy, even in bad weather which we unfortunately had one day. The view looks out towards the main area of Positano as well as the beach down below. Our room was huge, much bigger than we expected, with our own balcony as well as a larger shared patio which no one but us even used. The staff were amazing. They organized our private transfers to and from Naples, they booked restaurants for us and even a sunset cruise. The hotel is really well located, across the road from Positano's hottest bar (if you're willing to wait in long lines to get in) and is an easy walk to the main area and beach. The highlight was breakfast which they serve on the balcony, which if you get some good weather like we did, ends up being a stunning experience. All in all, this was well worth the money, if you can afford it then this place is perfect for a romantic getaway!

The Terrace is an amazing retreat from the hustle and bustle of Positano. The location is close enough to be able to walk down to the beach in 10 minutes there is also an amazing restaurant downstairs beside the property.
