The staff was very nice and accommodating. They were able to arrange a 2 hour ride for us last minute which I really appreciated. The pool was amazing, the property was well cared for, the rooms were nice, and the restaurant had decent food. We saw howler monkeys in the trees around the property and there are two adorable resident cats that hang out. The place is centrally located, right in town and close to anything you'd need.

La tranquilidad
Que cuando reservé en Booking me incluía el desayuno y cuando llegué al restaurante lo primero que me dijo la persona que me atendió fué que no tenía incluido el desayuno , que en Booking siempre hacían eso de que lo incluida pero realmente no , no me convenció la explicación pero no quería perder mi tiempo discutiendo y pagué los desayunos lo cueles me los cobraron doble y hasta horas después llegó esta persona a la habitación donde estaba descansando a decirme que la compañera se había equivocado y que habían anulado la transacción y si quería tenía que volver a pasar la tarjeta …. Contratiempos innecesarios y muy mal modo esa persona para dar servicio

Wenn man es mag, mitten im Zentrum zu sein, dann ist die Lage super. Uns hat Tamarindo allgemein nicht so gut gefallen, daher sind wir immer an den Playa Avallenas (30 Minuten zu fahren), der war super schön.
Zimmer waren sauber und geräumig. Frühstück war sehr gut.
Hervorheben möchten wir die sehr sehr herzlichen Mitarbeitenden beim Frühstück/an der Bar.
Bisher Preis-Leistung am schlechtesten auf unserer 5-wöchigen Reise. Wir hatten sehr viele ähnliche oder bessere Bungalows zu deutlich tieferen Preisen. Dies liegt aber auch am Ort Tamarindo. Es ist alles unglaublich teuer.

Beautiful ground with a very nice pool area.
The rooms lack a little bit of „life“. They are very cold & basic.

The rooms are huge, comfortable and clean. The pool area is fantastic. Also, the breakfast is really really good, tasty food with a lot of choices. The staff is super nice and professional and the location is perfect , just some minutes from the beach by walk.
We really enjoyed our time here and we recommend to anyone who is visiting Tamarindo.

Location wad good. It felt safe and upon checking in everything was explained well.
Bathrooms should have locks, there should eb a shower curtain as well, and breakfast was very basic only toast and coffee or cereal with a $12 surcharge for actual eggs.

So much to like about this property. Great in town location but not noisy. Jungle-like around the pool, could have hung at the pool all day and night. Responsive staff.

Everything went well. The room was small and not fancy-smancy but nicely done with great walk in shower and large bathroom and CLEAN. The entire site is spotless. This is not a new resort so the sparkling pool wasn't flawless but well maintained . The food is excellent. I didn't have breakfast but the rest of the food was great. They have a nice bar and seating area. The units are very private I had a large patio with comfortable seating. Its a small, intimate hotel which is my favorite kind and definitely a bargain!

Rooms need some sprucing. There were many mosquitoes in the room, And more kept coming in all night from somewhere in the bathroom. Of course, the doors were closed at all times. So no sleep for three nights.
Bathrooms could be cleaner and little maintained.
The restaurant is average.

Great location and amazing atmosphere. you are near the main roads but tucked away in a jungle oasis. If you had enough of the ocean the pool is a great dip and the rooms are comfortable and spacious.
Restaurant and bar are dead all the time. Even on weekend nothing happening here. Did not eat here

Amazing pool, location, and lovely staff! Solid breakfast.
We had slightly inconsistent wifi- we also reserved a room for 4, but the beds were really only meant for 3 (that said, the staff were lovely and brought us another mattress).

Place is next to bars and restaurants, walking distance from the beach.
Not a lot of privacy from the toilet (shower and toilets are separated but you don't get a lot or privacy).
There was no shower head in my bathroom
They split the hotel booking in 5 payments, which means for all international transactions you have to pay fees (I had to pay £25 from fees because of the number of charges they did rather than doing it in one transaction, they don't reimburse the money or give a coffee or something in return)

I travelled alone with my 2 children aged 21 and 17 and we had the best time staying at Pasatiempo. this hotel is an oasis of tranquility. right in the Center of town but super quiet. it is very clean , the rooms are tastefully decorated and the owner is lovely and very welcoming. the staff is great. We saw monkeys in the trees too.

This is such a beautiful hotel! Check-in was seamless and the owners were welcoming and gave us recommendations for things to do in the area. The rooms were comfortable and the pool was wonderful! We wanted to stay by the pool for longer but alas, must see the sites. Definitely get the breakfast because it was a great deal and delicious! Parking was free and right in front of the hotel.
