Located in a low lying area not far from the paddy fields, the hills can still be seen not too far away. Clearly a rich farming area, both attractive for the local wildlife and for simple walks, although not too distant from the beaches and hills. Casa Marmida has ample parking close to the accommodation, and guests can walk around the enclosures looking at variety of animals including pigs, sheep, goats and rare white donkeys (an endangered species). The accommodation is basic and sound insulation between rooms feels almost non-existent. A small patio in front of each room provides seating and drying racks, whilst the swimming pool is a mere 50 metres from the patio. The restaurant and chef are a great experience, with both bespoke menus and local food and drink. With limited availability it should be booked in advance and is recommended. The chef speaks good English and took the trouble to explain each course. Catering for vegetarian and non-vegetarians, with local beers and wines. Overall it feels as if the focus is on the restaurant at the expense of the accommodation and guests’ comforts. There are opportunities for improvement.

The rooms were basic and small. Sound proofing between rooms needs improvement.

The food is amazing and very warm welcome no doubt about that. Andrea is very nice . Swimming pool is a plus.

Uncomfortable bed. No soap or shampoo, bare room. Very Expensive for what it is. Need a little renovation...I would not rate a 3 stars hotel.

Andrea is a creative and talented chef - it would be worth a visit here for the food alone! Combine that with comfortable accommodation, a pool and lots of farm animals in a rural setting and you have a perfect Sardinian experience.

Soundproofing between rooms is not great but we did have a particularly loud neighbour!

I feel like I am at home with my family. Because of covid I couldn't see my family since 18 months and this people treated me like a family.

Lovely farm stay with 100's of sheep and a petting zoo of sorts with goats, donkeys and many birds - all very friendly! Delicious food in the evening cooked fresh by Andrea, great value. Great pool and loungers to relax on too,
