however Id liked to have VeloToulouse bikes to have been close by.

There is a kitchenette in the room and ensuite bathroom. very convenient. also two secure doors closed at night. you need passcode to get in

Perfect location, great area around the hostel

Beds uncomfortable, showers are often dirty and some of the are moldy, a board for each bed would be great, staff is gone after 8 pm so it depends on the people staying there to be quiet after 10 pm

The location Spot on, just 5 - 7 minutes away from the Capitol ( main square), but the area around the hostel is really cool too. I stayed in two different rooms and both had a kitchen. This can be good and bad.

Reception is only availabe from 10 am until 8 pm which means nobody is there to make sure people are quiet after 10 pm. So it really depends on the people who are there with you. Deapite that: The mattresses have seen better days. The bunk beds could use an extra board at each bed just to place ones belongings.

Bedsheets were changed every day. Location is good to start a walk tour from Bernin Basilique to the south. Soap was reachable from both the shower and sink (other hostels in other cities in Belgium did not offer any soap for free). They provide a towel to keep the floor dry. Safe entrance door and locker with lock provided.

Truth is that when I arrived at night both the neighborhood and the hostel seemed a little bit run down. Next day I figured out that it was a clean, safe place to stay and wasn't that bad to look at... Oh! My electric socket wasn't conveniently placed next to my bed but beside my head ( in any case I managed to use it and plug my phone while checking it too) The only thing I could mention is that some noise came from outside our window but it didn't last past midnight so did not bother me

Good location. Ok for a short stay.

Bunks were a little cramped in that you couldn't sit on the edge of the bottom bunk without hunching over significantly. Bathroom was not spacious and they used sink strainer on the drain which meant the water would be very slow to drain out of the shower. Kitchen was in each dorm room. Reception is only open from 1000-1230, then 1400-1900 which is annoying if you arrive early and want to drop off your luggage. You can only access the storage area at these times.

I am so sad that I only had one night at this hostel and in Toulous. Its old building but the room was one of the best most convenient and most helpful that ive been to in awhile. I just came from a hostel that was not very helpful and the staff were very rude. The room was spacious, bright and felt very clean. The balcony was awesome for reading and eating. There was a full kitchen in the room which was INCREDIBLE for a poor backpacker like myself, i was able to go to a lidl pick up food and cook for the first time in weeks. I needed to print a ticket for my bus the next day the receptionist was so helpful and nice and said it was absolutely no problem. This is the hostel Ive ever been to where they lend you a lock free of charge for your locker. And yeah i just had an overall great experience even though I stayed for only one night.

The bed wasnt the comfiest bed Ive ever slept on but it also was far from the worst, and the hostel is about a 20 minute walk from the train station and there isnt really a bus that makes the journey much shorter but again nit the worst thing ever.
