It's not a hotel, it's your worst airbnb nightmare. They bombard you with emails every minute. The content of these emails is primarily "you must", "don't", "make sure". We were checking in after 4pm and sent a message. First message - no reply. Second message - no reply. Third message - and finally we got an answer from the staff. It took them more than 24h to answer my question how to check in after 4pm. Also, it was cold in the room and we were told the heating in the room could not be changed. The truth is, you can change it. They just hid the heating control panels from you. They also remind a couple of times that you'll be charged for the number of beds used. It's the first time I see this kind of rule. Anyways, some of the house rules you won't see on booking.com but which they send to you once you've booked an apartment here : "A used bed counts as one person, make sure to book the right number of beds according to how many people you are. Unused beds should be left untouched, do not place luggage on the bed. Cot can be pre-ordered for toddlers up to 2 years and is free. Children over 2 years counts as one person and will be charged. Pet-friendly and wheelchair-accessible rooms must be booked prior to arrival. An extra fee of SEK 200 will be added to the pet-friendly room. Your requests will not be fulfilled until you have received a response from the hotel." And my favourite part : "Before check-out, make sure all costs are paid. Departure cleaning is included in the price, but you will need to wash the dishes and dispose of any garbage, next to the parking lot. Make sure you don't forget any of your belongings, they are kept for 2 weeks before they are disposed, empty the fridge. please turn of the lights and make sure that the door is locked." Well, thank you for sending us a separate email and reminding us that all costs must be paid before checking out.

This is a fantastic place to stay, The lodge was perfect for us as have family in Gavle, Was able to rent lodge over the Christmas period, The open plan living/cooker/dining area was large, table was big enough for 8 peopole to sit around to eat, play cards, board games, The Kitchen area has very little work top space but still has everything you need in it, Induction hob, oven, fridge, freezer. Cooked dinner most evenings for six people, The heating in the property was very good but is centrally controlled so we were unable to change any settings. At times it was too hot and we had to open front door to let the heat out, Having siad that i would prefer it to be that way around than too cold. I would love to go back in the summer to see beach and swimming pool,

Beautiful condo stocked with most things to cook. Comfy beds and great bathrooms. Comfortable couch too. Heated floors were an added bonus

The location was stunning and is great if you like to take a long walk with a great view.

When I wanted to check in, it took almost 30 minutes for someone to arrive at the reception. I tried to call their phone number and rang their reception bell without any success. Apparently there was a wedding during our stay. It would have been nice if the staff member would have told us during check in because even late at night we had troubles falling asleep because of the hard music. We paid 200 SEK on top of the normal fee because we came with a dog. I understand that there is an extra cleaning fee, but it would have been appreciated if the lodge would indeed be “pet-friendly”. For example: plates for food and water. I thought 200 SEK is quite expensive for a 1 night stay for only extra cleaning.

Beautiful location by the ocean, clean, good size 3 bedroom apartment and very kid friendly. Loved the breakfast buffet every morning and eating it outside with an ocean view. kids loved playing in the pool and on the beach.

At times we were not able to find staff when we had questions.

The apartment was huge and clean, the late check-in went smoothly.

I am so sorry to say so but this was the most uncomfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in. The mattress was either the cheapest and thinnest or it was worn out - we slept in a double bed as a couple both rolling to the middle because of the uneven bedding. We didn’t sleep at all and in the morning everything hurt. There was a lot of construction work going on and even during night time while sleeping with an open window we could here the port which was not far away.

Sea location, beautiful villa and nice houses with everything needed.

We were supposed to take out the trash and clean dishes, but I don’t really understand why this is not included in the room rate. also, the reception staff told us the wrong way to close the room door which is weird. there was some construction near the pool but gladly not noisy.

It's a beautiful place with an interesting history. The main building is amazing. The rooms we slept in are relatively new, very well equipped and nicely designed. It's right on the beach, and the big lawn in the middle is wonderful. It's a posh and peaceful place to enjoy a nice weekend. We had dinner at their restaurant, which consisted of huge portions and was very good. The staff was friendly and did their best to make us comfortable.

The beds are not very comfortable, and although it's hard to see at first, the cleanliness of the room was less than expected.

The apartment was clean and spacious and well-appointed. We liked the area where it was situated and although there was industry visible from the site, the general area was attractive being by the sea.

The worst aspect was the major reconstruction work taking place to replace the swimming pool. I was looking forward to relaxing on our terrace but it was virtually unusable as it was a few centimetres away from a wire fence and beyond that several pieces of heavy and noisy machinery, piles of rubble, paving slates etc. The work began each week day before 7 am right outside our bedroom window! We knew the pool was out of action but we’re only informed the night before our arrival of how extensive, noisy and intrusive it was when it was too late to book anything else. We think we should have been offered a partial refund. Also it would be fair for the property to warn potential visitors that although it is on the sea, when there is good weather the beach and the lawns are packed with local visitors- they also take all the parking spaces making it difficult to park if you go out for the morning.

Very modern and clean apartment, with good equipment. Nice location directly at the beach!

One kitchen cabinet was loose at the hinges and couldn’t be opened properly. Quite ”thin walls” where you hear people walking past outside very loudly. There was a big wedding celebration there the evening we stayer there. No one was at the reception for check in, stood there for 20 minutes, called their phone number plenty of times, no answer. Had to ask several waiters at the wedding until they could find us someone who could check us in. That staff then was quite unfriendly as well when checking us in. I understand that it’s very hectic with a big wedding, but if it causes such stadf problems, it would’ve been nice to be informed about it beforehand

Easy to access, nice enviroment.

Booking.com information about pool wasn’t accurate. You could easily think by info and pictures, that there is a pool available, but 4 days before arrival the hotel sends you extra info that pool is under construction.
