Great location in the old city centre.

The room was very minimal (not a table or a chair or somewhere to open our luggage). When we arrived the room was quite clean, except for the floor where there were things and dust. Doors and windows are quite old and windows cannot keep noise from the street. The building is very old with renovation works right under our nose.

The location is excellent. The room was tiny so I would not recommend spending much time inside. However, it was clean and comfortable.

If you are claustrophobic the room would seem too small. If you are in the city to explore and spend time outside it would be just what you need.

Good pension in a great location

Our room (double room with balcony)was at the front of the hotel above the outdoor patio of the restaurant next door. We found the room to be too noisy. The hotel was kind enough to relocate us to a room at the back of the hotel, which was much better for us. It didn’t have a balcony, but it did have a window out to a small alley. It was quiet and peaceful. The room itself was a decent size, the bed was comfy, the bathroom was dated but functional. The location of the hotel is excellent. It’s within walking distance to shops, restaurants, museums, metro, etc.

Lack of amenities in the room - no refrigerator, no kettle, no drinking glasses. The hotel doesn’t serve breakfast or have coffee/tea available for guests. We did however find two very good cafes for breakfast - Plaza Unamuno Taverna (inexpensive, excellent tortilla potato) and the Beetle Bar (excellent avocado toast). Most times hotel staff were in the back and you had to ring a bell for service. Sometimes they seemed slightly annoyed like you were disturbing them.

Noisy place. Terrace below window open late and noise started early in the morning due to maintenance.

I think you should be warned about very noisy construction work going on right outside your window.

The location and the friendliness of Wendy, the receptionist. Wendy made my stay much easier as my flight was cancelled and she amended my booking.

There aren’t any safe boxes in the rooms, this is very important as per passports, important documents and other valuables.

Friendly helpful receptionist, helped us up the stairs with the bags, good breakfast , very well placed for sightseeing ,transport,etc. Good for a few days in town for getting around.

Cleanliness and accessibility

- very difficult to communicate with the receptionist.he does mot know how to speak English and even he has the Google translate... - WiFi was very slow and sometimes none around 10 pm onwards. - breakfast was not taken as the receptionist has not explained fully. - room was big but it was very warm.. a fan was available though. - very difficult to get up with the baggage... no Elevator....

The gentleman working was very friendly and helpful, great customer service. The room was very nice and loved the little Juliette balcony.

The bathroom shower was small and there wasn't any shelving to put toiletries. Otherwise it was good. The towels were large and fluffy.

Superb location, right in the old town, bars and restaurants on the doorstep, metro and main square both a 5 minute walk away, nice simple breakfast.

Close to train and metrostations. Situated in the old town. Restaurants nearby.

Noisy rooms. You hear everything from your neighbours.

cold in building.In room is electric heater but for comfortable temperature,need turn on to max power. May be problem with temperature through windows

We liked that it was in the center...and that's the only good part.

Almost everything. There were plenty of problems so beware.
