The guesthouse is conveniently located close to the lake, the owners are very nice and the breakfast is quite good. The owner also helped us organize a sunset boat tour.

There are not a lot of restaurant options in the surroundings.

If u want a break from the hustle and bustle of the tier 1 or 2 cities… this is the absolute place … the scenic location … the host.. balcony … spacious room… every thing amazing…. The host ensured we get everything in terms of travel convenience here.. b it boat ride… auto to near by market or cab for airport… perfect place and that too affordable.

the location is superior—secluded and directly facing the water. the home made breakfast is delicious, the rooms are spatious and clean. the hosts are wonderful and helped arranged a boat tour. we extended our stay!

Would highly recommend this property for staying.The owner of this property uncle and aunty they r so comfortable and flexible.We really enjoyed the stay. We planned for a single night stay but stayed for 3 day nights.. Off course it is 10/10 ratings for safe stay.

Amazing view from the terrace - the architecture makes you feel like you're on a house boat. We preferred the location to anywhere else we visited in Kumarakom as you are right by the lake (amazing sunset) and also next to a beautiful canal with locals and farm animals. Family restaurant 5 mins walk away did fantastic food (try their Pollichathu). Owners were friendly and helped to make our stay as comfortable as possible. All in all, highly recommended, as you can truly enjoy serenity and local life on the backwaters.

When I came down with food poisoning the owner looked after me and took me to the hospital. The birdlife was good.

Localised restaurants not very good and the breakfast provided by Backwaters Breeze a bit boring.

Zero sound proofing, you can hear clearly every single word of neighboring room. Even sound of crickets can be heard. The walls are just cardboards.
